Reviews
guide Ruby is good and friendly - she will ask if we want to join the VX experience of underground palace - which is a AI tomb of Emperor Qin. additional cost of RMB150 which I think is ok but does not justify the price we paid. I’d rather spend the time walking around the town alone. it’s one of those things that guides do for extra income so it’s understandable. the Everlasting Sorrow show is a must! the seat we got is middle seat. I think watching the second show is better but which means will finish late. we watched the 8.10pm show and we got back to the hotel by 10.30pm. huaqing palace is more like a man made palace with the old pools in place. I would say overall a good trip. low peak season but the terracotta was packed!
The tour guide 纸武林 contacted us a day before to let us know what time to meet up and the bus number. on the way to the venue, he also recommended for us to watch a 3D show of the Qin Emperor's predicted to-be mausoleum, which is quite worthwhile for 138RMB/pax. Overall Terracotta viewing experience was also good as there was sufficient time to look at the displays and take photos.
We had an excellent experience with our tour guide, Andrea! She did a wonderful job of coordinating all the logistics (pickup/dropoff, all tickets, lunch, etc...) and explained our itinerary very well. Additionally, she was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind. We were amazed by the beauty of the Terracotta Warriors, Huaqing Palace, and would definitely suggest staying for the show. After the show, Andrea even checked in to make sure we got back to the hotel safely. The entire day was seamless and we couldn't recommend a tour with Andrea enough. 😊
Star was an amazing guide. They gave an great tour and were very knowledgeable. They were very prepared, and had extra umbrellas for us when it rained. Despite the bad weather the tour was very good.
We had an absolutely fantastic day visiting the Terracotta Warriors and Huaqing Palace, and it was made truly special by our guide, Ruby! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and kept the group engaged throughout the day. Ruby provided detailed historical context, brought the stories of the sites to life, and helped us navigate the crowds efficiently. She also recommended the best spots for photos and made sure the transportation and lunch ran smoothly. Highly recommend booking this tour, especially if you get the chance to have Ruby as your guide!
We booked the tour on 1st May 2026. The journey throughout the tour was very nice and enjoyable, and we received very informative explanations about the history at the Terracotta Warrior Museum and Huaqing Palace (Tang & Qin Dynasties). We also paid extra to enter the AI and 3D museum, which was a good experienced. On 3rd May 2026, Ms Ruby, our tour guide, helped us book the Hanfu session, which was already included in the package we chose.
picked up from my hotel, Andrea, our tour guide was very kind and soft spoken. she managed to explain everything to us. she was very accommodating and sweet. i enjoyed the tour so much. we were group of 12, for me, not too much people for a group. easy to manage. i was fascinated with the beauty of terracotta. i wish to come back again. 5 stars for Andrea!! she even asked me if i got bck to my hotel safely. this is truly customer service! 😍
Great day tour, group size was not too large, and the itinerary was well planned and paced. Tour guide Mendy was friendly and tended to our needs. Inside the mausoleum, we had another professional museum guide join to give us even more details of the archeological site. Lunch was at a decent dumpling restaurant with a nice spread of food.
we had an amazing day trip with our tour guide Andrea. she was very good at explaining the itinerary for the day and stories behind each attraction. lunch was delicious, I recommend getting the dumplings and noodles to share! and the Huaqing palace is beautiful!
We started day early the bus picked us up in front of the hotel. The journey took about one hour and started with cable car to Mount Li then straight to Huaqing Palace. Afternoon lunch at Terracotta Warrior Museum then visit the Terracotta for 2 hours. Next to the Emperor Qinshihuang Museum then they send us back to Huaqing Palace for The Song of Everlasting Sorrow show at 630 pm. We booked middle seat. You have to pay for the kids if your kids want separate seats does not matter the age. While waiting we had dinner first at the mall in front of the palace. After the show ended, the bus waiting to send us back to the hotel. It was a good experience and organized well with the very helpful tourist guide. Good memory here 😊
