Shangri-La: Meaning “the sun and moon in the heart” in Tibetan, it is an idyllic paradise away from the hustle and bustle. Here are the sacred Meili Snow Mountain, the tranquil Pudacuo National Park, pristine forests, and clear lakes.
Pudacuo National Park: Here are the beautiful lakes such as Shudu Lake and Bita Sea, as well as natural landscapes such as primeval forests and alpine meadows. Tourists can hike and sightsee, enjoy the beauty of nature, and feel the purification and relaxation of the soul.
Napa Sea (exterior): It is a seasonal plateau lake and one of the largest freshwater lakes in Yunnan Province. In autumn and winter, the lake is like a mirror, and flocks of migratory birds are a paradise for bird watchers. In spring and summer, the grassland is vast, where you can ride horses, picnic, and enjoy the leisure and freedom of the plateau grassland.
Dukezong Ancient City: You can experience the unique Tibetan customs and stroll through the historical ancient city. On the stone roads of the ancient city, admire the quaint architecture, experience the strong cultural atmosphere, and enjoy a peaceful and wonderful travel time.

The driver and tour guide was very down-to-earth, punctual with pickups and drop-offs, and chatting with him gave us a better understanding of the real lives of the locals. During the activity, he also took some photos for us with a professional camera and gave them to us free of charge as souvenirs. He treats travelers with care and dedication, highly recommended!

The one-day tour was quite pleasant, visiting Songzanlin Monastery, Napa Hai Grassland, Pudacuo National Park, and Dukezong Ancient City... The scenery was beautiful... The driver and tour guide were also very kind. A great trip.
We were upgraded to a small group tour of three people this time. The five-seater vehicle was very comfortable, and our driver and guide, Robert, was attentive and responsible 👍. He helped us avoid peak hours and traffic jams at some attractions, giving us plenty of time to explore.
This tour package isn't very value for money. There is no guide to follow and explain the history of the place, only a driver to bring you to the locations. In total we paid around SGD $100/pax. The entrance fees for Puduocao National Park and Songzanlin Monastery are $26 and $18. Unfortunately no amenities are provided, such as snacks, water, or oxygen tanks. The itinerary is not bad, but you could probably get a similar experience for a fraction the cost by taking a didi/using the transfer shuttles from those locations back to Xianggelila.
Good to know
- Pick-up Service Area: Shangri-La City (main urban area), Dukezong Old Town surrounding intersections (due to the limitations of the Old Town, motor vehicles are not allowed to enter. The butler will arrange the nearest convenient parking exit to pick you up!). Contact customer service for details.
- Time Arrangement: The group tour departure time is around 8:00 AM, and the tour generally ends around 4:00 PM, after which you will be taken back to your hotel or the original pick-up point. We will inform you of the meeting time again the day before the trip. Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before the scheduled meeting time.
