In such a huge and crowded museum, a guided tour is recommended to ensure a quality experience. Mine was great with François being our guide. Very detailed narration at key locations in the museum. It was very crowded at Mona Lisa station and Francois led us in seamlessly as he narrated along the way. Very good experience indeed! The process was well arranged. The guide's English accent was a bit heavy, so my friends couldn't understand it, but the explanation was very detailed and rewarding.
