I learned basic Tai Chi movements from a Buddhist monk, played a game applying Tai Chi principles, and then meditated together. It was a great time to relax both my body and mind amidst a busy daily life. I would love to come again! 🤩
The class was definitely a fun experience and something different to do. The teacher was patient and slowly walked us through the movements correcting us of necessary. There was time to practice the moves repeatedly to make it easier to get the correct movement. At the class there were 2 student teachers as well to help assist in the class. This was quite helpful. After the class there was time to drink some nice tea and relax a little at the temple's building.
To take a break from the stress of life, to better your mind or body, to challenge yourself in a new and fun experience, this is a great opportunity for you! A cozy studio, a personable and fun monk teacher, and lovely staff, this was such an enjoyable experience. The teaching allows you to keep up with basics but also challenge yourself and feel more involved instanteously. It includes a moment of meditation, self-reflection, and even tea and snacks to relax and talk openly. Its location is very convenient and easy to find, and it's an absolutely worthwhile experience!! This was my first time trying Tai chi and it was really informative. What I loved the most about it was the explanation behind every movement and its connection with life's philosophy.
