Best of Big Island Group Day Tour in Hawaii

It was my first time visiting the Big Island of Hawaii. Since I can't drive, I booked this tour. Our guide, Jim, was very knowledgeable and calm, and he told us a lot about the Big Island. He took great care of all the participants, so I felt very safe and secure throughout the tour. The places we visited were each very diverse, so I never got bored. The lunch and snacks were also very delicious, and the portions were just right. Kilauea was erupting at the time, and I was thrilled to see the bright red magma bubbling up. We stopped at a bakery and bought malasadas, which I ate after returning to the hotel; they were very delicious. I was very grateful that they dropped me off near my hotel room. Thank you very much.

1 star. Avoid this operator if you value reliability and communication. We booked this tour in April as one of the key activities for our honeymoon. Despite having months to prepare, the operator never provided pickup details before the tour. The night before and again on the morning of the tour, we called multiple times to confirm our pickup. Nobody answered and none of our calls were returned. We were due to be picked up between 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM, but no one showed up and we received no updates. Even Klook support tried contacting the operator and could not get hold of them. We wasted more than two hours of our honeymoon waiting at the hotel and had to completely rearrange our plans as this was meant to be a full-day tour. The most disappointing part is that we were genuinely excited to visit the volcanoes, but the operator’s lack of professionalism meant the experience never happened. Based on our experience, we would strongly recommend booking with a different company.

There was no initiative to notify us on the last minute cancellation, neither was there any explanation given. We were only informed upon us reaching out a day before the tour to confirm on the pick up arrangement. The service provider also did not bother to follow up to reply to our email thereafter on the alternative and refund request. Please do not choose this service provider as they are not trust worthy and are very irresponsible. As for Klook, it took me one week with two reminders for them to initiate the refund for this cancellation. Apparently I was told that the case has been put on hold and it was an oversight in following up. This again is another disappointment and frustration. experience.
