What to expect
Experience traditional Lappish livelihood and reindeer herding in Rovaniemi in this half day tour. You'll visit the Sieriporo farm, where you'll be introduced to the life of reindeer herders and listen to the herders explain the important roles reindeers play in this isolated corner of the globe. Then hop into a sleigh after learning how to drive a reindeer, and soak up the panoramic views and the silence deep in the Lapland forests. During the last activity that is the reindeer safari, gaze out over the sweeping views of the snow-capped trees and capture the scenery on cam. This tour is perfect for friends and family, including the kids!

Our guide Gina was really approachable. The farm tour was amazing and the reindeer ride was short but magical.
A short reindeer experience, it takes 15 minutes from the travel agency to the farm. A Mandarin-speaking tour guide is arranged. After arriving at the farm, you can feed the reindeer, and then arrange to ride on a reindeer cart. The route is longer than the Santa Claus Village route, and the reindeer move very slowly. After riding, you can go to the hut to warm up and rest. The farm staff will arrange snacks and drinks.
Punctual at 10.30am. We finished the whole tour within ~2h inclusive of travel. We got to feed the reindeers, take the sleigh ride, and were given some snacks after. Overall, pleasant experience and smooth-flow with this company. Also, Santa Claus Village is just nearby. I would definitely recommend!
The organizer was the local travel agency Nordic Unique Travels. The trip was not very long, about 1-2 hours, but the tour guides were very considerate and did not rush us. We had snacks, listened to some stories about elk, and played on the farm. Thank you to the tour guides! Thank you also to the cute elk 🫎🥹🧡💛
Super cute and dreamy reindeer sleigh. The reindeer are so well behaved. It takes a short time to experience the sleigh going around the farm. The rest of the time you can take photos with other reindeer in the farm. It is really a unique and great experience.
If you think the reindeer ride at Santa Claus Village is expensive, but still want to experience it, this is a great option. Although the experience time is shorter, I think it's just right and doesn't give you the feeling that it's too cruel to the reindeer.
