Reviews
This was our first walking tour ever with our toddler and infant, and it completely exceeded our expectations! Kimu made us feel fully supported, anticipating our needs without us asking. Kimu helped with our stroller, carried our backpack, found kid-friendly toilets and changing tables, and regularly checked in when our toddler got overwhelmed. It felt like traveling with someone who truly understands the challenges of parenting on-the-go. Thanks to his support, we were able to enjoy several stops that we definitely could not have navigated alone. Kimu showed us how to feed the deer safely and visit temples respectfully. He helped take precious photos of our family and guided us to calm, crowd-free spots. He also answered all our questions about the temples, sculptures, structures, and local history. If you’re traveling with young kids in Nara, this is the tour and the guide you want!
Kimu is amazing, he explained so much of Nara and Japanese history and culture, he was very patient with our small daughter that never stops asking questions (and most times the same questions over and over). he recommended where to take great photos and took them for us. He had deer crackers and great places to feed the deer away from the crowds; he also recommended a great place to eat (the ramen was great).
Kimu was great. He patiently showed us the most beautiful temples, explained the meaning, and kept an amazing pace in the middle of a very hot day. He truly made the experience enjoyable and easy to navigate. I highly recommend the tour. looking at the map it looks doable, but the park is huge and the detail explanation is a most. Thank you, Kimu! Go Dodgers
Our guide, Kimu, was able to clearly explain to us the history of each site we visited. He was very friendly, accommodating & assisted us in taking photos & videos of the group.
Kimu is an amazing guide. we enjoyed everything’s he shared with us. His knowledge of the points of interest as well as just our questions about Japanese culture and history was outstanding. He was very friendly and delivered more than we expected. Kimu thank you so much for making our day in Nara special!
My husband and I had a fantastic time in Nara. Our guide Kimu was very friendly and professional. He reached out a couple days before our arrival to give us details on where we would meet up. Kimu had an abundance in knowledge when it came to telling the history of Kyoto and its shrines. Another reason for coming to Nara was to meet the deer, of course. We saw several people getting chased by some deer, however Kimu kept the experience peaceful and it was an overall incredible experience. I would highly recommend booking this tour to anyone!
Our tour guide was very patient with our family with 2 rambunctious kids! We were almost 40 mins late to our tour but he made adjustments so we can still see everything on the tour as planned. thank you!
Kumi was a very kind guide, she took us to the best places to take pictures, she was our photographer and showed us the most beautiful and less crowded places. We also chatted a lot about Japan and she really allowed us to discover some things about the country that you can only know by living there, beautiful tour!!!
we enjoyed the tour, cause the itenary is fleksibel depend our condotion and the tour guide gave us interesting insight of the beatiful or historic places, and take amazing photograpgh my husband and me.
Fantastic tour! Kimu was a phenomenal tourist and extremely knowledgeable. We also got an opportunity to rest at a gazebo to move away from the crowd. Thank for the great experience.
Good to know
- According to mythology, the god who founded Japan arrived riding a deer, and deer have been considered sacred messengers of the gods, receiving careful protection since ancient times. Even today, the deer in Nara are cherished and protected as a national natural treasure.
- Many people are astonished by the immense size and overwhelming presence of the Great Buddha of Nara. The statue's height was 15.8 meters at the time of construction and is now 14.98 meters, equivalent to about a five-story building. The width is approximately 12 meters, and it weighs 130 tons with the pedestal and 250 tons for the Buddha itself.
- The deer in Nara primarily feed on grass, but what are the ingredients of the deer crackers? The answer is wheat flour and rice bran. Considering the health of the deer, no sugar or other additives are used, making it a safe treat to give to the deer.
