Reviews
I participated in the Port Stephens tour with our guide, Moses. It was a well-organized and stable tour from start to finish. I particularly appreciated how strictly he adhered to the schedule, and even when external factors caused changes, the overall itinerary was barely affected thanks to our guide. Haha. Since I was joining the tour alone, I thought it might be a bit boring, but there was no time for boredom as he used the travel time to share information about Australia and stories about the places we visited. He also provided detailed suggestions for things to do at each location, so simply following his advice made the experience thoroughly enjoyable. The selection of places was great for a day trip, and the timing felt just right, both physically and for sightseeing. It's no wonder this tour has so many positive reviews. Haha. I highly recommend it :)
This is a review of the tour with our guide, Moses! We started very early in the morning, so I was quite tired, but after a brief tour preview, Moses drove safely, and I was able to comfortably sleep all the way to our destination. At the first zoo, since we were a group, we could pet the koalas for free. We also received one portion of food per person, and there was so much that I couldn't even give half of it away. It was wonderful to be able to freely pet and feed the kangaroos, as they were in an open-range enclosure. During the winery tour, we got to taste delicious wines. For adults, they provided chicken burgers, and for the children, they arranged a customized meal of pizza and juice. Since the weather was excellent, the dolphin tour was also very satisfying. We were lucky enough to see dolphins swimming alongside our yacht for about 10 minutes, right next to us. For the final activity, sandboarding, I was quite tired and only managed to go down four times, but it was still very enjoyable. Before each tour, Moses explained the precautions and provided helpful tips. During the remaining travel time, he also shared information about Sydney tours, history, gift shops for independent travelers, and recommended restaurants. If I were to take another tour on a different day, I would love to do it with Moses again. Thanks to this trip, I was very happy! I took many photos, but it's a shame there's a limit to how many I can attach.
Thanks to our guide, Lee Hyun-jin, we had a truly unforgettable day! I was worried because it was raining, but she flexibly adjusted the schedule to account for the weather, allowing us to fully enjoy every activity. She continuously provided explanations during our travels and checked in to make sure we were having a good time, which made for a wonderfully happy and comfortable day. The wildlife park and dune buggy ride will surely be unique memories I'll cherish forever, haha!
After a three-hour bus ride, we arrived in the morning and went sandboarding in a 4x4 off-road vehicle. It was a lot of fun, walking barefoot on the sand. The speed wasn't as fast as I expected, so I stood up while riding, which made it even more enjoyable. Of course, if you get hurt standing up, it's at your own risk, so be careful if you choose to do so. Since it was morning, the cool weather was also very pleasant. At lunchtime, we went to a winery. We each had to receive four glasses, which led to a funny but slightly awkward situation where we had to pass them around like a 'Ganggangsullae' circle dance, but the wine was delicious, so it was worth the wait. Afterward, we immediately had french fries and handmade burgers, then headed to the zoo. It was a great experience to watch koalas munching right in front of us and even get to touch them. I thought koalas wouldn't be that special since I'd only seen them in pictures, but they were so cute I couldn't resist touching them, haha! I really hope everyone gets a chance to touch them at least once! Besides that, we walked around feeding various animals. Everyone with food became a magnet for the animals. At first, I was flustered and just tried to get away, but then I started feeding them. We saw many different animals like meerkats, red pandas, and quokkas, taking pictures and having a great time exploring. The guide was friendly, and the staff members running each section were also very kind, making it a wonderful experience :)
If I had to pick the most memorable day from our recent honeymoon in Australia, it would definitely be the Port Stephens tour! 😊 It was an early start, but thanks to our guide, Young, the day was incredibly fulfilling and enjoyable. I especially loved being able to enter the zoo right at opening, which allowed us to explore at our leisure. We had the special experience of touching a koala, and the moments we spent feeding kangaroos and interacting with them up close are still vivid in my mind. It was truly amazing and wonderful to see and experience these animals in person, rather than just in pictures. Afterward, the wine tasting at the winery was also a unique experience. The chicken burger we had there was delicious too. Next, we took a boat out to sea to see dolphins, and it was incredibly moving to encounter them much closer than I expected. Watching them swim freely in their natural habitat felt incredibly healing. Finally, we reached what I would call the highlight of the tour. The scenery on the endless sand dunes was breathtaking, and above all, our guide, Young, took such beautiful and thoughtful photos for us that we ended up with lifelong, picture-perfect shots, haha. I was even more grateful that he didn't just take pictures, but also paid attention to our poses and composition. It felt even more special because it was our honeymoon, and it wasn't just sightseeing, but a meaningful time that will remain a cherished memory. Thanks to guide Young, we were able to enjoy the tour comfortably and happily, and I want to thank him once again. I highly recommend the Port Stephens tour to anyone considering it!
Hello, I just finished a tour with Young Guide, and I'm extremely satisfied! Also, for those considering a tour, please note: Young Guide strictly adheres to the scheduled departure times. If you don't arrive by the departure time after the meeting time, they will consider it a no-show and depart. So, please double-check the detailed location sent via KakaoTalk! Our team departed without one group, and we later heard they called to complain. They probably misread the location! Review: There were so many positive reviews for Young Guide, and we were happy to go with them. First, the explanations were excellent, delivered in a comfortable, radio-like style that was easy to listen to. They provided information at just the right moments, allowing us to rest and listen well. What's truly amazing is how the information they shared during the guided tour, delivered almost like an educational lecture, stuck with us and came to mind throughout our trip. It was fascinating how we could listen to it like background radio, yet it was so memorable. I think this is what makes a veteran guide! Also, instead of prioritizing fuel efficiency or a fixed route, they flexibly guided us, considering the opinions and conditions of the tour group that day, which was fantastic. The quality of the itinerary was better than a private tour! And they take excellent photos. They mentioned that since they visit the same places and take similar photos constantly, they become skilled at capturing great shots of your trip, no matter what (and it's true, haha). Additionally, they dedicated their personal time to add several special touches to our tour (I've omitted specific details to avoid inconveniencing the guide). Thank you so much, Young Guide from Zigzag Tour! Tour Review: Following the guide's recommendation, we visited the desert, then saw dolphins, and finally the zoo! There were pros and cons to this order: going to the desert first meant the sand was in great condition and there were no crowds, so the photos turned out amazing. However, we got covered in sand right from the start, messing up our setup. Going to the zoo in the afternoon was great because there were no people, and everyone was up eating, so it was perfect. Plus, the animals were roaming freely, allowing for very close interaction, haha.
I had a wonderful time with Guide Kim Tae-young, who accompanied me on various activities from morning until evening! He took photos for us at the photo zones and taught us how to tour safely, making the packed itinerary very enjoyable. I thought the 7 AM start would be tough, but there were small breaks (during travel, waiting times, etc.) that allowed me to rest little by little and still do everything. The zoo was more fun than I expected because it wasn't just for looking, and the sandboarding got more sand on me than I anticipated. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience a full day of diverse activities!
Today, I went on a tour with our young guide! I had hastily booked a tour yesterday after hearing the weather might be bad, but that reservation was canceled. I then found a similar tour, and I think it was even better that I ended up on this one! We had already visited Featherdale Wildlife Park, so I didn't have high expectations for Oakvale Wildlife Park. However, even my parents, who aren't big animal lovers, enjoyed feeding the animals themselves, seeing koalas up close, feeding goats, and even milking a cow. We made the most of our short time at the zoo! Afterward, we went to a winery for a tasting, and I even bought a bottle of Moscato because it was so sweet. Then, we went on a dolphin cruise and saw dolphins! (Though I wasn't quick enough with my camera to get good pictures, unfortunately.) Finally, we had a fantastic time sandboarding! Thank you so much!
I recently went on the Port Stephens tour with Young Guide, and I was so incredibly satisfied that I had to leave a review! 🧡 First, the sandboarding 🏜️ was much more fun than I expected! I thought it might be a little scary at first, but once I tried it, the speed was great and it was so exhilarating that I went multiple times 😂👍 The photos also turned out amazing, perfect for getting some once-in-a-lifetime shots! And Nelson Bay 🌊 was truly breathtaking with its beautiful ocean…💙 The water was a stunning emerald color, which was incredibly relaxing! I also loved that there was enough free time to take a walk and enjoy it at a leisurely pace ☀️ I highly recommend Oakvale Wildlife Park 🐨🦘 too! It was so amazing and cute to see koalas and kangaroos up close like that; time just flew by 🥹💕 Being able to feed them myself made it an even more special experience! Most importantly, Young Guide was incredibly kind and made the explanations so entertaining that the travel time flew by 🚐💬 Their thoughtful care made the trip even more comfortable and enjoyable! Overall, the itinerary was packed, the travel was comfortable, and all the sights and experiences were perfect 💯✨ I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sydney!! I'd love to go again sometime 🥰🙌
This is a review of my Port Stephens tour with guide Moses. During my week-long trip, I considered taking a day tour and chose Port Stephens over the Blue Mountains, mainly because I was looking forward to the desert. It was wonderful to not only experience the thrilling sandboarding in the desert but also to see, touch, and interact closely with koalas, kangaroos, wombats, and other animals at Oakvale Wildlife Park. I also enjoyed tasting three different wines at the winery and even bought a bottle as a souvenir, which I'm sure will bring back memories of my trip when I drink it back in Korea. Additionally, I had some free time in Nelson Bay, and even though it rained, meeting such kind people made me feel a renewed sense of humanity, leaving me with pleasant memories. And Moses, above all, is a photography master! He took some amazing photos of me in the desert that will likely be my KakaoTalk profile picture for a while. I highly recommend this Port Stephens tour for its great value, and Moses also shared a lot of useful information about Australia, which made the experience even more enriching. I paid for this myself and highly recommend it!
