Yogyakarta Merapi Volcano Sunrise Private Full-Day Tour

wonderful yet tiring experience. sunrise is a luck thingy, u might see the volcano/ sunrise or not. Jeep driver was excellent photo/videographer. Jomblang caves view was astonishing, but u had to walk past super muddy path before u could reach the beautiful view. not for those who scare of height and mud. Pindul tubing was relaxing and chill esp after the tiring cave activity. highly recommended if u are adventure and not scare of dirtiness.

I toured with guide Udik. I was traveling alone, so I made a reservation for one person, so it was a bit expensive, but I don't regret it. With a private tour guide, I was able to travel very comfortably. This tour covers all the important tour spots in Jogja. It's a bit chilly when going to Merapi Volcano, so it's a good idea to bring a coat. It's a good idea to go to Jomblang Cave early and leave early to save energy. Even if you're careful, you'll get covered in mud and the safety equipment will smell, so it's a good idea to wear clothes that you can throw away. Some people say to bring a hair cap, but it's too hot. You can go rafting in Pindul Cave and swim if you want, so it's better to wear a swimsuit. I went to the Pyeonggeor Pine Forest at sunset and saw a very cool and beautiful landscape. The guide Udik kindly guided me throughout the entire trip and made me feel comfortable, so the tiring schedule was easy. And most of all, he took really good pictures. He took pictures of me going down and up Jomblang Cave, which is difficult for me to take pictures of, and natural scenes during waiting times. And in the forest of Byeonggeo, he takes pictures of me like a professional, so I can take the best photos of my life. He even suggests poses. He is a guide I would like to meet again if I have the chance! Thank you.

I was relieved to receive a message from Klook and the driver the day before. The guide's explanations at every point were very easy to understand. He also took a lot of great photos. The driver was also very kind and drove safely. It was a long course from morning to night, but it was a very satisfying day. Since I was traveling alone, the only negative point was the high price. I would be happy if there was a mixed tour.

First of all, I would like to express my special thanks to the driver Nicko Wijaya, who brought a full sense of security to our family. During the tour, he spared no effort to explain the attractions and local customs to us, and we were all very satisfied.

When visiting an unfamiliar tourist destination, the first impression of a friendly and welcoming guide is bound to be a good start to the trip. Although the heavy traffic jam somewhat interrupted the tight tour schedule, I am grateful for the guide's sincerity in trying to accommodate the customer's convenience as much as possible and will use the tour again if I have another chance to visit.

I made a reservation on Klook at around 6pm the day before. They picked us up at the hotel at 4am and we had a private charter for two people. It was a really good day. First we went on a jeep to the beautiful Mt. Merapi. Then we went to Jomblang Cave, which was our main event. It was the best adventure ever. Lunch was included and was delicious. After that we had a lot of experiences such as going through a limestone cave and going down the river. I recommend this tour.

We had an unforgettable experience with this tour for our last-minute trip and much of that was thanks to our incredible guide Adit! From the moment we were picked up, Adit was warm, welcoming, friendly and attentive to every little details in meeting our needs throughout the trip.

Overall an amazing trip worth experiencing. A special shout out to my driver, Udik, who was with me for more than 14 hours ensuring that I get to each destination and back safely. He is punctual, friendly and speaks good English. He even went beyond and accompanied me on the self guided trip at pine forest and became my photographer, and when my phone went dead he offered to use his phone to help me capture memories that otherwise would’ve been missed out. A plus point, he takes amazing photos. Thanks to Udik this trip was made an even more pleasant one.
