Our guides BJ and Umes were very nice and polite and knowledgeable about the areas we visited. Picked us up in our hotel early and we headed straight to the view point. The viewpoint was stunning and maybe because it's a relatively off season there weren't much tourists so we were able to take more photos of the area. there's a little tower structure that you can climb, the ladder can be a bit difficult and a bit shakey but if you can bring yourself to go up, you'll be rewarded with an outstanding 360 view of the mountain range. After, we went to a second view point although lower, it offered a more unobstructed view of the mountains. We had a quick breakfast and then proceeded with a nice village walk which was easy and calming. you'll pass by plenty of local people with some beautiful mountain views. from there Umes brought us to a suspension bridge and then climbed down to the waterfalls. the whole descent down was challenging but absolutely worth it. You'll need to be of average/above average physical condition to be able to do it safely. After, we drove to a world heritage site monetary white beautiful and intricate buildings. it was a full moon day so there was a nice ceremony with the head priest. after going around the temple they proceeded to drop us back at the hotel. we were so tired after that we slept through the ride back. if you're looking for a fun and challenging half day tour, try this tour out with your friends I'm sure you'll have a great time!
The sunrise was incredibly beautiful and breathtaking. The hike itself was relaxing with very few steep inclines. Our guide, Ananta, was extremely knowledgeable, happy to answer any questions, and a pleasure to talk to.
No luck of having a good sunrise viewing despite we made an effort to arrive at the viewing point just before 5am after an hour car ride from Kathmandu. Nonetheless, our guide Mr Umesh made great effort to make our reminding journey a wonderful experience especially an unexpected sighting of a deer during our hike near Nagarkot.
I valued the tour guide’s commentary on the various sites we visited. I found this experience enlightening and exciting.
The guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. I like that he knows fluent english. The driver though was reckless that every sharp curve you will feel unsafe. I hope the company train their drivers for the safety. The view was a bummer, full of fog. Did not get to maximize it.
My experience with Shepherd Holidays, along with my tour guide Umesh and driver Ram, was truly unforgettable and something I will treasure most from this Nepal trip. The experience was wonderful. They arrived on time at my hotel, and although it was quite a long day, it was never dull. I was supposed to join a group tour, but since I was the only participant, they still proceeded with the tour and even offered an additional itinerary for a small charge, which was totally worth it. The atmosphere of the locations we visited was amazing. I highly recommend this touring service if you want to be well taken care of, guided thoughtfully, and learn more about Nepal, its spirituality, and the beautiful places in the Kathmandu Valley. How I wish I could spend more time to see and tour around KTM! All my good luck to this wonderful touring company.
It is a very nice experience, our guide Umesh Khanal is a seasoned guide in hiking to lead the hiking. I really enjoy it😊🙏
Although we didn’t get to see the view due to the weather, we were looked after very well by our tour guide and driver.
The local operator, Klook, provided an absolutely terrible experience. I waited in front of my hotel for 90 minutes starting at 4 AM on the day of the activity. When nothing happened, I contacted the operator and was shocked and uncontrollably angry to learn for the first time that they had failed to inform me the day before that the activity had been canceled due to their own oversight. About 30 minutes after I contacted them, a cancellation notice finally appeared on Klook's website. This is an unacceptable level of service. Give me back my time!
