What to expect
Embark on an exciting Great Barrier Reef day trip from Cairns, with an approximately 90-minute boat ride to the outer reef. Spend up to five hours at two premium reef sites chosen from Norman, Saxon, and Hastings reefs, known for rich marine life—colourful corals, clownfish, turtles, stingrays, and the giant Maori Wrasse. Cruise aboard AquaQuest, a modern vessel with a spacious dive deck, submerged entry platform, and quality equipment. Relax on the sun decks, enjoy air-conditioned lounges, and freshen up with hot showers. Around midday, savour a buffet lunch with a mix of hot and cold dishes, salads, and tropical fruits.

I participated in the discover scuba diving experience, which doesn't require certification. The instructor was patient and led the group well, and all the staff were very friendly. The sea was beautiful. I recommend this experience to anyone who hasn't tried scuba diving before.

We went on the AquaQuest to the Great Barrier Reef and had plenty of time for snorkeling, which was incredibly fun! We were also lucky enough to see a lot of marine life, including turtles and sharks! Although the rice at lunch was just average, the coral was truly stunning. The crew was professional, and I genuinely recommend it!
The instructors are very dedicated, so there's no need to excessively worry about safety. The lifeguards carefully monitor everyone to ensure they are within the safe zone. The scuba diving experience is fantastic, with one instructor for every four students, providing personalized one-on-one instruction, which is completely reassuring. Highly recommended.
