What to expect
At the indicated time, You will come to to Avanos, a town located in the heart of Cappadocia. For centuries, pottery has been one of the most representative aspects of the culture of this region. Did you know that the first traces of this craft date back to 2000 BC? Next, you will head to a pottery workshop, where we’ll first see a demonstration in which an expert craftsman will make a clay piece using traditional techniques. Afterwards, you’ll put this same process into practice and create your own ceramic object, decorating it to your liking. We’ll learn about the importance of Turkish pottery. Have a great time playing with the clay and turning the potter’s wheel to form plates, pots, and other utensils!
