Reviews
This 1/2 day tour was well worth the minimal cost. Kiki, our tour guide, was excellent! He shared very interesting information about the 3 areas we visited as well as much, much more. He even taught us some routinely used Japanese phrases. It was fun and fascinating. My wife and I highly recommend it.
We really had an amazing time. It was very rainy so it was nice to have a comfortable bus to travel to and from places and our guide was very knowledgeable. She was very professional and the places we got to see and experience were awesome.
Although it was freezing we enjoyed the tour. We learn a lot about the culture and the tour guide was very nice and friendly. Thank you
This was a nice small tour. The guide was great and explained a lot about the culture and areas of Tokyo. I only think the first part of the trip should've been axed because you don't really get to see much of where the Emperor and Empress lived. just outside the gate and water mote. We could've spent more time elsewhere. However, the tour was good.
Great tour and guide. Brought us to all three locations we wanted to visit. Tickets included for Tokyo Tower.
Tour guide is with sense of humor and knowlegable of Japanese history. Value of money is worth it.
Our guide was named Kaki and he was very informative. We had to get used to the English accent though, which was hard to understand at first (we are from Austria). The meeting spot was easy to find with the given directions and the picture. In the bus, we had designated seats. The tour route itself was exactly as described. Kaki explained about the history while we were driving and gave as a tour at each stop, he was very knowledgeable about the area. There was always around 20min at each stop to explore for ourselves. At the Tokyo Tower he got tickets for the whole group for the first observatory deck (included in the tour price), and we skipped the long waiting line. We happened to have visited Sensoji the day before with a guided tour, so we asked if we could just use the 1h time slot to go off exploring on our own and it was no problem. We just met back at the designated time at the bus that was waiting for us at the parking lot.
I had a great experience on the Hato Bus Tokyo city tour. The trip was well-organized, covering key attractions with a smooth and efficient itinerary. There was enough time at each stop to explore without feeling rushed, and everything ran on schedule. It was a convenient and enjoyable way to see the city, and I would definitely recommend it!
Kumiko-san was great and was super knowledgeable about our routes and all the stops. Our driver, Nose-san, was also amazing. You could barely feel the bus break. If anything, I wished we had more time at Asakusa to eat and shop (we only had 1hr) but also totally understand that what we bought is a half-day tour and they did mention it'll be "efficient". Overall, still a great way to be at all 3 attractions without having to navigate the busy streets yourselves.
The tour guide was excellent. They could speak both Mandarin and English, and were also willing to help me get a wheelchair. It would have been better if the parking location in Atami was more convenient.
