Solo stay

Local to uni which is great, the whole place smells very stale and ?? Of cat litter - every time I’ve stayed it smells the same… SUPER inconvenient to have to go to the other side of Hamilton to get the key card, especially considering that it’s advertised to be local to the uni… if you don’t have a car I wouldn’t recommend this… this would absolutely increase its usefulness if they re-assessed this huge inconvenience!

Beware you check-in elsewhere, all good though. Clean, functional, modern basic room. Newspaper outside in the morning was a nice touch. No bedside lamps or towel rails. A pleasant stay.

It’s managed remotely from another motel in the central city. They want a $200 hold on your credit card. It’s really basic, cheap(ish) accom with an uncomfortable bed (in my room) and very noisy from adjoining rooms. It was ok for a couple of nights when working in that part of Hamilton

I didn't know that there is no staff onsite and that reception is at a different motel that is further than walking distance away. I found this out after I booked. The lights on the outside of the building and lack of good curtains meant that room 1 was not dark at night. I asked to be moved which the staff were happy to oblige. There was no hairdryer, access to the laundry, or space to store bags on checkout day - all things that were advertised The rooms were quite dusty and there was no where to hang towels, face cloths, hand towels or tea towels. The TV was a bit touch and go and kept losing internet connection. However, the location was great.

Check in was at another motel a couple of miles away. Car parking was good and secure, cctv. No bedside lights. No towel rails or hooks in the bathroom, but lovely shower. No hob. No net curtains. No luggage rack. Traffic noise. Towels changed daily, good wifi and air con.

Large elongated space, windows that allowed fresh air. Rooms were very clean, beds well made. Showers very strong. Staff at counter was prompt - everything went relatively smoothly and we found accommodation quickly.
