This is an absolutely beautiful hotel, the staff was amazing also, but there was a dog in the next room that barked all night long.

Nice hotel in a villa style atmosphere. Good for events and plenty of green around. Rooms and breakfast are ok and sufficient, looking the hotel style you would probably expect more. The personnel is extremely friendly and nice.

Upon arrival the front desk staff were nice but not very welcoming. They handed us our room key and didn’t tell us anything about the amenities or free breakfast at the hotel. We had to keep asking questions. The rooms were clean but the carpet is old and stained in the rooms and hallways. The AC did not work in our room. We chose this hotel to stay one night before flying out of Milan. It was fine for that but would not stay here for a vacation. We walked to town and that had little to offer as well.

Beautiful facility; I wish we'd have had more time to explore. Price was reasonable compared to places closer to city, but taxi cost to get there was 90 Euro. Fascinating history was explained with great pride by lady at front desk. The breakfast was lovely. Within walking distance of train station, but there are no station personnel, so know what train you need.

We stopped here for one night. Amazing architecture, huge gardens to explore and super friendly service. A bargain in peak summer when everything else was very expensive

The building looks beautiful and the interior is clean, very well kept and everything feels like you're about to have a great stay. However, the room was small and looked like it hadn't been renovated since 1980. Aesthetically speaking it was below average. But that is nothing compared to what we found when we moved the twin beds. Underneath the beds were a potato chip, an empty red bull can and an empty carton of some type of product (we didn't pick it up). Though the bathroom was clean and generally the room felt that it was vacuumed, they clearly had neglected doing the very basic thing of vacuuming under the beds. The beds were on wheels so it was the easiest of tasks. Adding to that several other details, like the shower door hanging loose thus allowing water to splash on the floor, or the fact that the duvet cover was basically a big bed sheet wrapped around it, made everything feel too basic for what the exterior and eventually the price suggested. Finally, the buffet breakfast was keeping in line with the rest, being average to say the least. The breakfast area also felt left to its own devices and the big round tables that would better suit a wedding reception than the restaurant/breakfast area of a hotel also felt to be a choice made not after careful consideration. Generally this was one of the greatest disappointments.

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of July as a friend was getting married in the area. The villa itself, and the surrounding views are very pretty but the accommodation is very basic and uncomfortable, similar to a prison cell. The A/C did not work, the room was dark, depressing and in very serious need of modernisation. Worst of all on both nights the hotel hosted private functions with music blaring outside our bedroom window until 1am in the morning leading to an awful nights sleep across both days. The staff were not particularly interested in our complaints when we raised them and just told us ‘it will be over soon’. Pretty awful stay really.

Good
I am happy to have had the experience of the Villa and the beautiful grounds. However the room I was given was very old, out dated, and the acoustics were terrible... very strange clicking sounds (pipes creaking perhaps?) with ear plugs I would have gone crazy.
