Rooms old need updating position and staff great

Parking was free and easy. Access to Restaurants was at your front door.

Old world charm.

Was very over priced for the room, we got a room that sleeps 5. The couch had fallen apart, the chairs were broken the jet spa did not work, the loft balcony was unsafe, the heater was ineffective and we couldn't find the reception. We were reassured that the property will be upgraded at some stage. The person who checked us in was very lovely.

The location of this property and the parking space are its advantages for myself, and you will now understand my reluctance to take the chance that my honest opinion of the condition of the accomodation again, will be seen by the Managers of the Property and they may well find out who was the author.

Great location but rooms old & bathroom not very clean

The hotel has a great location right in town and the bathroom was modern and well presented. We also appreciated the character of the building and having convenient parking available. However, the room itself felt quite run down and was much smaller than expected. The bed was advertised as a queen but was definitely closer to a double, and unfortunately wasn’t very comfortable. Being located right on the main street also meant it was quite noisy early in the morning. Check-in took a long time as there appeared to be only one staff member managing the entire pub, which made the process a bit frustrating after travelling. Overall, it was okay for a short stay mainly because of the location and character, but there are definitely areas that could be improved.

It was a nice unit and very central to everything in Hahndorf. Beds were clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful.

Was allocated the "Loft" for the 2 day stay, walked in then walked out - dirty, unclean linen, very old bed/s, sagging and falling apart, lack of maintenance - dripping taps, non working light fittings, the room was dark, damp and smelled of mould and dirt. Nothing like the description, - the main building looks exactly like the photo's and suggests an amazing place to stay. For the money being charged, the property would need to pay me to stay there. Only upside was, one very accommodating staff member, who was very understanding and helpful. We were advised that they are planning renovations - needs to happen sooner rather than later.

The location was very good and the rooms were comfortable. In our first room, there was a faulty and dangerous power point and the tv didn’t work. In the second room, there was still a loose power point and the hair dryer did not stay in its broken holder. It was a large room but there was only one dining chair for the large table and only one lounge chair. Nether room had enough coat hangers though the obliging ‘house fairy’ found some more for us. Maintenance needs improvement.
