On arrival we were greeted in a nice fashion. The grass around the hotel was a foot long & even had old shopping trolleys laying around. Our room had a musky smell & the room needed some money spending on it to get up to a reasonable standard. The heated pool was supposed to be heated to 28 degrees but was just warm. The reason why we chose to stay at this hotel was the heated pool. We were so disappointed that the pool was not kept clean & was not heated as I was told when I enquired about the hotel. We will never stay there again, & I would suggest that hotels.com do not advertise this hotel for bookings, as it gives you also a bad name.

A motel was probably a great place 25 years ago but at the moment it clearly needs a refreshing update. A lot of the amenities as much as they work really do need a makeover. Staff were very happy and parking was very convenient being able to pull up right in front of our own door and move straight in. But some of the facilities were very worn out and definitely need updating.. the location is ideal especially if you’re planning on going to sovereign Hill it was only a couple of minute walk to get there… the heated pool was definitely good but once again clearly needs a refresh. I I mean it was okay but it looks like they haven’t spent any money on it in the last five years. It definitely needs a cleanup a tidy up. and for the price it probably really wasn’t worth it but if you just need a quick place to stay in Ballarat for one night, it’s just OK…..P.S shower, it was the best thing. It was really good….

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE TO DUST Room appeared clean enough on the surface, comfy ish bed how ever, room was full of dust to the point that I'm now on antibiotics for sinusitis and steroids for an asthma flare up. Staff (the 1 we saw) was friendly and helpful, made sure we had clean towels. The pool is not heated to 28 as advised, and has a 'lovely' layer of green on the ground. While the rooms are non smoking there are tables set up outside the rooms so good luck if your neighbor smokes. Quiet location, convenient to everything with clean bathrooms just needs a total overhaul and update of the bedrooms.

A couple of things needed fixing but were not a problem. The lighting is dull, not bright. There needs to be a lamp on the table. The room I had this time needed more bench space and the TV was smaller than other rooms I've stayed at in this motel. I'm happy enough here and rebook regularly.
