Incredibly helpful staff. But a big problem coming to the hotel to drop off luggage (the hotel is inside the Limited Traffic Zone or ZTL)

We can’t speak highly enough about our three-night stay at UNA Palace Catania! We chose this hotel to celebrate our anniversary, and felt spoiled from the moment we arrived. The check-in was easy and the staff very welcoming, and the dining at the Etnea Rooftop restaurant was plentiful and delicious (both dinner and breakfasts). Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the balcony view of Etna. Centrally located, we found it easy to navigate our way to local sights and we appreciated the ZTL that kept traffic noise to practically non-existent. We were very impressed and recommend this stay for any couple wanting a lovely stay in Catania.

The rooftop is one of the best in the city! A very clean room. Helpful staff. The front desk ordered a case for my very early flight, which was of great help!

Excellent location, very convinent for tourists. Hotel is nice and clean, very friendly staff, good breakfast. Only negative is room is small but probably is normal in Europe, and bathroom not modern.

To be fair, I only stayed at The Palace Catania for one night, but the experience was a bit disappointing for the price. At $300 per night, the hotel feels quite dated and the rooms are badly in need of a renovation. On the positive side, the location is excellent, the rooftop views are lovely, and the front desk staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We did experience a major service lag at the rooftop bar, waiting over 20 minutes for a glass of prosecco, though the waiter was very apologetic and kindly comped our friends' two glasses of wine. Overall, it’s a well-located hotel with great customer service, but it definitely needs some TLC to justify the premium cost.
