Taejongdae Park

For a more peaceful experience, it's best to visit Taejongdae Park on a weekday. The park opens early at 4 a.m. (5 a.m. in winter) and stays open until midnight, giving you plenty of time to explore without the weekend rush.

Reaching Taejongdae Park from Nampo subway station is quite convenient. You can take buses 8, 30, or 113, and the journey will take about 40 minutes. Alternatively, you might want to consider a guided tour that includes the park for a more hassle-free experience.

If you prefer a quieter visit, consider walking the loop road instead of taking the Danubi Train. This way, you can enjoy additional sights like Gumyeongsa Temple and the South Port View Point at your own pace.

Weekdays are generally less crowded, making them the best time to visit Taejongdae Park. December is particularly quiet, but be prepared for longer waiting times for the Danubi Train during this month.

From Busan Station, you can take bus 101, which will get you to Taejongdae Park in about 30-45 minutes. Alternatively, buses No. 8, 30, 88, or 88-A from Nampo Station also serve the park.

If you're traveling with elderly family members, be cautious of the long flight of stairs leading to Yeongdo Lighthouse. It's best to take it slow and consider using knee support if necessary.

If you're short on time, make sure to visit Yeongdo Lighthouse for the most stunning views. The Observatory Station is another great option, but the lighthouse offers the best photo opportunities.

The Danubi Train operates with extended hours from June to August (09:20~20:00) and shorter hours from October to April (09:20~18:00). Note that the train does not run on Mondays.

To reach Taejongdae Park, take Busan Metro Line 1 to Busan Station Exit 7, then transfer to bus No. 17, 88, or 101 and get off at Taejongdae (Taejongdae spa). Buses No. 8, 30, 17, 88, 101, or 186 also stop at Taejongdae.

Wear comfortable sneakers to fully enjoy the well-organized walking trails and beltway at Taejongdae Park. For parking, you have several options including the Main Entrance Parking Lot (buses only), Parking Lot 7, and Jayoo Land Parking Lot (paid).
