Osaka Workshops

Kohei was great and the whole experience was awesome. I love my chopsticks and would highly recommend this to everyone.

one of the highlights of our trip for both kids and the adults - we had 7 kids and 6 adults and they were awesome! Our kids ages 5-9 had the best time and will have something to remember for ever! Really cool to have custom chopsticks with their names laser engraved. highly recommend for anyone in Osaka!

We had an absolutely amazing day at the Osaka Ring Making Workshop! 💍✨ Yay was our personal guide, and she took an already wonderful experience and made it truly exceptional. Her warmth, patience, and personal attention made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Making our own rings was such a unique and memorable experience, and having Yay guide us through every step made it even more special. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time. If you’re visiting Osaka, we highly recommend this experience! Ask for Yay if you can. She made our day unforgettable, and we left with not only beautiful rings but also wonderful memories. Thank you, Yay, for making our experience over the top! Craig and Dee. ❤️

we were able to find this shop fairly easily with an A-frame sign at the entrance. The area is a shared space with a few other craft workshops as well. There’s a restroom you can use once you are up the stairs. Elvie was our instructor. She gave very good instructions and demonstrations as well as helped with some finishing touches to our chopsticks. They have several types of wood you can upgrade to ranging from 4000 to 8000 yen. There are 3 types that we got to choose from that were already included with the price. I chose the Taiwan Cypress and my brother chose Hinoki. We opted for the optional laser engraving for an additional 1000 yen and it was well worth it! Such a great experience! a lovely souvenir to take back home. I will for sure be using them!

Very good workshop and step by step guidance given to complete the activity right from cracking a plate to repairing the crack and making it more beautiful !! the guide was very helpful and patient with me in teaching me. thank you for the experience!!

Painting a traditional Daruma doll in Osaka turned out to be one of the most meaningful experiences of our trip. It’s such a simple idea, painting a face onto your own Daruma but it carries so much intention behind it. You set a goal, paint one eye, and then complete the other when that goal comes true. It made the whole activity feel personal, not just creative. Even without perfect language, the staff guided us so kindly through the process. There was something really calming about sitting down, focusing, and putting your own little personality into the design. No pressure for it to be perfect just yours. It ended up being more than just a souvenir. It felt like we were taking home a small piece of Japanese culture, along with a quiet reminder of our goals. Such a wholesome, grounding experience—and something we’ll actually keep and look back on.

I really enjoyed this tour and workshop, especially because Yoshie was such a lovely guide! She was sweet, cheerful and approachable, making everything feel relaxed and fun. On the walk to the museum, she pointed out the mascot manhole covers, and throughout the museum she gave interesting explanations and kept great conversation. She was also fantastic during the Cup Noodle workshop, encouraging us to take our time and taking loads of photos for us. The tour lasted ≈1hr 40 and was definitely informative and enjoyable. My only criticism would be the price. I paid €137.25 for a small-group tour for two people, which felt a little expensive for what was included. The restaurant part was more like being dropped off near the station. I think having a little more guided time at the end would validate the price (2.5hr instead of 2hr) That said, I loved having someone else take care of the navigating ahah! Yoshie even helped us check restaurant availability and order before leaving.

It was ab eye opener to extract the pearl from the oyster! and the size was decent! about 6mm! made the pearl into a necklace! its really beautiful and one in the world! definitely a limited edition! worth it! highly recommend for everyone!

I was searching for something to experience in Osaka and found something that looked interesting! Mochi pounding? It was my first time, but it was so much fun. It felt like a Japanese festival, and the time (about 30 minutes) was just right for me!
