With this pass, I was able to take the comfortable Hida Limited Express from Nagoya to Takayama, stay there for three nights, then travel to Toyama for one night. I also used the pass for a free ride on the train to Tateyama Station, where I exchanged the pass for a round-trip ticket to the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, also free of charge. Finally, I took a complimentary JR train from Shinano-Omachi back to Nagoya. It's convenient and highly recommended!
