Generally expensive, but worth the price. The service and staff friendliness are commendable, and a definite pros is that you don't need to go to a separate observatory to see Sakurajima, you can see it perfectly well from the hotel's own observatory or the hot springs. The downside is that if you get assigned a room far from the hot springs, it takes quite a while to get there. Also, the hotel is too far from the city center, so even if you take the hotel shuttle, it can restreict your schedule or plans. Still, the hot springs alone make it worth visiting.

The price is cheap, and the location is right outside the JR station, making transportation extremely convenient. In addition, after check-out, you can use the self-service luggage storage. The bathtub is large, and bath salts are provided with a lovely scent. There's really nothing to complain about. Highly recommended!

Nice hotel with an amazing view of Sakujima . The hotel is old but if you can look past that it's actually pretty good hotel , they had laundry room at the basement floor , I like that when you use the elevator you don't had to past the lobby, not close to the train station so you had to take taxi or drive here .

Perfect location, within walking distance from the shopping street Tenmonkan. Also just 3 tram stops from Kagoshima Chuo station. The onsen at the 13th floor is the perfect way to cap a long day. Convenience stores are also a few steps from the hotel, as well as a coffee shop and a nice kurobuta shabu-shabu restaurant.

The hotel's location is superb, right next to the JR station, just a minute or two walk, which is very convenient! Whether you're taking the Shinkansen, local lines, or transferring to other cities, it saves a lot of time. For those traveling with luggage, this location is perfect. The rooms are clean and spacious, with good soundproofing, so you won't find it noisy even though it's near the station. The front desk staff are friendly, and check-in and check-out are quick. There are convenience stores, restaurants, and coffee shops near the hotel, so you don't have to worry about finding food when you return at night. Overall, the accommodation experience is excellent, with a perfect score for location and convenience. If you want to stay near the JR station, this hotel is definitely a recommended choice, and I will definitely stay here again!

It was clean and nice. Check-in and check-out were unmanned and confusing, but an employee came out and kindly showed me how to do it. The room was clean, and they provided plenty of towels. I liked the large public bath.

The room had a gorgeous view of Sakurajima and was quite spacious. The location was also near the beach though we didn't take advantage of that. There was a pachinko place across the road with bright flashing lights in the evening but they turned the lights off around 10pm. Parking validation has to be done every time you exit and reenter the parkade.

I was so satisfied with my first night that I booked consecutive nights. As expected, for a hotel in this price range with good accessibility and cleanliness, Coco Hotel is the only option. I'm definitely planning on using it again for my next trip to Kagoshima.
