Hokkaido Biei Winter Blue Pond Illumination & Shirahige Waterfall & Furano Ningle Terrace & Christmas Tree | Departing from Sapporo

I had a fantastic experience on the Furano and Biei day tour from Sapporo, booked through Klook. Although the drive from Sapporo to the attractions was a bit long, the small group format made the atmosphere very relaxed. The tour guide was attentive to every traveler, avoiding the rushed feeling often associated with larger tour groups. The itinerary included classic attractions such as Ningle Terrace, Shirogane Blue Pond, Shirahige Falls, and the Christmas Tree of Biei. There was ample time at each location for photos and sightseeing. What was particularly commendable was the guide's commentary during the drive, sharing insights into Hokkaido's history and the stories behind the attractions. They provided explanations in both Chinese and English, ensuring that travelers from different countries could understand the background of each site. The entire journey was not just about seeing the sights, but also about learning more about Hokkaido's culture and origins. Overall, the itinerary was well-planned, the guide was professional, and the attractions were definitely worth seeing. If you're visiting Hokkaido for the first time and want to explore Furano and Biei at a relaxed pace, I highly recommend this day tour.

I joined the Hokkaido Biei Winter Blue Pond & Shirahige Falls Light-Up Day Trip on 11 Feb, and it was such a memorable experience! Our tour guide, Habi, was fantastic — very friendly, informative, and impressively fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin. He made the entire trip smooth and enjoyable. We started with lunch before heading to Ningle Terrace. The walk from the bus was only about 10 minutes, but the thick snow made it quite challenging — still, the scenery was absolutely worth it. Next, we visited Takushinkan, followed by the Shirahige Falls. The final stop, the beautifully illuminated Shirogane Blue Pond, was truly breathtaking in winter. We returned to Sapporo Station and the whole tour felt well-paced and well-organised. Overall, a wonderful experience — highly recommended!

We got lost in Sapporo Station and cant find the meet up place and thankfully our guide found us. We are very grateful for his kind gesture. Along the way, He’s introducing the itinerary and some trivia both in Chinese and English which is amazing. We really enjoyed the trip from having a quick break on a rest stop, finding a hidden ramen gem during our own lunch in Furano downtown while snowing to taking beautiful photos in Ningle Terrace, Biei Christmas tree, Birch Forest, frozen Shirahige Waterfalls and the Illumination of the blue pond. He’s very nice, informative and caring for our safety walking on a snowy and slippery road. He got lots of nice to know things and very thankful for that. Not to forget our bus driver for a smooth ride on a snowy weather and brought us back in Sapporo station safe and sound. Overall, this trip is a must thing to do in Hokkaido on winter.

Snow was falling when we arrived at Ningle Terrace on Christmas Day, and from that moment the day felt like a gift. The timber cabins tucked into the forest glowed softly under fresh snow, setting the tone for everything that followed. We moved through open winter landscapes to the quiet stillness of Biei’s Christmas Tree, wandered among the pale trunks of the birch forest, and later felt the raw power of Shirahige Falls as it cut through the icy landscape. The day ended at the Shirogane Blue Pond, its colour unreal against the snow, a moment that felt almost suspended in time. Nothing was rushed, and each place was given the space it deserved. Carlos was incredibly kind and thoughtful, especially as I was travelling solo, and his care added a layer of warmth to an already beautiful Christmas Day.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such an amazing day! Had the best time on this guided tour — we visited Furano Winery, the birch trees, Shirahige Falls, and the stunning Blue Pond. Every stop was so beautiful! Our guide, Kalong, was awesome — super friendly, easy to talk to, and really knew his stuff. Everything ran smoothly and the whole experience was totally worth the money. Honestly, one of the highlights of my trip — highly recommend it!

Punctual schedule, Habi was really nice explaining everything in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English! All the places were really good, too bad we missed the sunset at Shirahige Waterfall. But I will definitely recommend this tour!

Having a car to pick us up for the itinerary made things much easier. The tour guide, Kelvin, was very attentive, and the restaurants and local specialties he recommended were delicious. During the tour, he proactively took photos of everyone, both group and individual travelers, which was very thoughtful. He took care of everyone's safety throughout the entire trip, which is especially reassuring when traveling in the winter. Shirahige Falls was unexpectedly beautiful in the winter! Blue Pond was what I was most looking forward to, but it was perhaps a little different from what I imagined. With the winter snow and the illuminations, it certainly had a different atmosphere, but it makes me even more eager to see what it looks like in the summer!

This trip enriched the sights I wanted to see. The tour guide explained the origins of the attractions in detail, so it didn't feel like a rushed tour. They're also quite good at taking pictures! You can ask the tour guide to help you take group photos! The Elf Terrace is very cute! The birch tree forest and the Biei Christmas tree are great for taking photos! But it's really cold! Dress warmly! The last two attractions, Shirahige Falls and Blue Pond, are also beautifully lit up~ Highly recommended!

The tour guide was fantastic, very polite and always smiling, and even enthusiastically helped with taking pictures! 👍 The driver's driving skills were impeccable; even on mountain roads, the ride was comfortable! Thank you for your hard work~~ Today was incredibly lucky; we encountered a snowy day and saw beautiful scenery that is usually never seen! 🥰🥰 The solitary Biei Christmas tree, the snow-covered Platinum Blue Pond and Shirahige Falls were absolutely stunning!!!

The tour guide provided very detailed explanations at each scenic spot and thoughtfully looked after each member of the group. At the Ningle Terrace, one member had difficulty moving around, and the tour guide arranged for the tour bus to pick him up there, which was a heartwarming gesture for someone with mobility issues. Also, after I fell at the Christmas Tree in Biei, the tour guide reminded me to be careful and walk slowly at each subsequent location. Sometimes, he would even come over and help me when there were steps, which showed how attentive the tour guide was.
