Lovely museum with an awesome Seaview. Tranquil and beautifuk. Easily accessible by bus from Atami Station. Very easy to use the ticket. Need to show QR code for scanning and you will be given a hardcopy ticket at the reception counter.
I went with my elementary school and junior high school kids, and the whole family enjoyed it! The view was nice, the garden was nice, and it was very nice. We had a wonderful time drinking matcha in the tea room. I headed from the mountain side, but when I followed the navigation, the road was steep and pounding lol
I went there by car. It was a very beautiful place! Overall, there weren't many people, so I was able to visit comfortably. There will be a little more people at the best spots, but you can still take great photos. I couldn't go to the tea break this time due to time constraints, but I want to go again. Highly recommended.
This is a beautiful site and very easy to get to from Atami station if you’re looking for a quick activity.
There was a line to buy tickets, but if you buy them here, you can enter right away, so it's easy! All you have to do is show your QR code at the reception desk! The kaleidoscope on the ceiling is wonderful. On sunny days, the cafe is stylish and recommended for relaxing. The bus is quite crowded, but at around 200 yen, it's definitely cheaper than a taxi.
I was surprised to see so many more places and famous works of art than I expected! There were many valuable items, such as a folding screen depicting red and white plum blossoms and a hanging scroll that I had seen in history. There were many spots that looked like modern art, which was great!

We enjoyed an exhibition of paintings of beautiful women from the Edo period. There were a lot of customers even though it was a weekday, but I got the impression that most of them were Japanese. The circular hall is a spot where you can get a good view of the kaleidoscope projected on the ceiling. If you go by car, you might miss it, so be careful.
I stopped by on a company trip. I had been curious about it for a while, but I really enjoyed it as there were many photogenic spots. There is also a direct bus from Atami Station, which is very convenient. I also liked that they used special window glass, probably because they focused on making the work easier to see.
It was spacious and worth seeing! In particular, the cake and croque monsieur at Toshiyorozuka's cafe were very delicious. I waited for about 40 minutes on a Saturday afternoon, but I was able to see the museum while I was waiting, so it was a meaningful time. The harp at the end was very beautiful.
