Tainan Free Walking Tour

Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Tainan and Taiwan by extension. He has so many stories to share about the different periods of Taiwan's history. The one area of improvement I'd recommend is maybe add more locations to let the group move around more as many of us were losing our attention given how in-depth the stories were.

Fantastic tour. Very helpful introduction to Taiwan's colorful history. Stops at many places I wouldnt have found on my own or where I wouldnt have realized the significance.

This was a fantastic walking tour through the alleyways of Anping district, with a particular focus on houses and walls displaying "sword lions" 劍獅 that are a sort of protective motif common in the area. Highly recommended!

My first walking tour ever in Taiwan and I'm glad it was in Tainan! A big shoutout to Jill for being a wonderful tour guide. Her explanations were easy to understand and the tour helped me notice and appreciate small details I would have otherwise ignored or overlooked. My second time in Tainan yet there was still a handful of things to discover and learn about!

I had a fun half day with a powerful and interesting explanation. Tainan's old town was very good. I would definitely like to come to Tainan again if I have the opportunity. The brown sugar steamed buns from the food stall were also delicious. Thank you, Frank.

The guide, Frank, was really enthusiastic and passionate about the information he shared with us. It was really interesting learning about An Ping and the history of Taiwan. Wished we could have explored some of the area in greater detail even for a small cost, like Fort Zeelandia.

She was patient and polite with all of my husbands complex questions even in the pouring rain. Jill and our morning guide, Zoy, were terrific. Best way to learn about Tainan history and see important areas. Both guides provided good local restaurant recommendations. Excellent afternoon!
