What to expect
A bubbling haven for geothermal wonders, Rotorua is a city that needs to be explored both by land and water. Its land and cityscapes are a combination of historic emblems of the Maori culture that come entangled with natural hot springs, shootings geysers, and boiling mud pools. While these ground features offer a sense of adventure and thrill for travelers, its bodies of water provide a more calm and relaxed atmosphere. You’ll experience that first hand when you visit Lake Tikitapu and Lake Okareka. Take the time to bask in the beautiful surroundings of these lakes - and here’s the thing, you don’t have to transfer to another boat or vessel to get there because the tour’s WW2 amphibious vehicle can travel both on land and water! These ‘ducks’ provide the possibility of conquering the best of Rotorua in a short period of time, all you’ve got to do is join in on the fun!
Reviews
Claiming the booking is very easy. The guide was funny and very nice. We took the trip in late fall so it was very cold because of the wind when the duck is moving. The lakes are majestic.
Rotorua Duck Tour allows you to visit the Government Garden and museum on land, which is very convenient. In addition, you can take a boat ride on the lake to enjoy the beautiful lake scenery, which is refreshing and refreshing. It is definitely a fresh and pleasant experience!
This was very fun. Our guide was so entertaining all throughout the tour. A very relaxed Rotorua experience.
nice trip to travel in Rotorua. Our guide is very active and entertained. The tour to us to 3 lakes.
It was wonderful seeing the 3 large lakes of Rotorua, and it was really nice to be able to see the scenery while boating on two of them. So gorgeous and beautiful! The guide was delightful and passionate, which made it even more enjoyable!
this is a great Duck Tour! The Duck Car called Lucy is a 80 years old antique that the guide warned us it might be out or order for a rare chance. But it was lucky that nothing happened. The guide gave us some local experience recommendation especially on the Polynesian SPA that was a great find! We have been to 2 lakes which was tranquility and yet magnificent! Luckily we joined this tour!
Great experience and the guide is really great. We were able to visit the city, learn about the history of the city. The children liked the duck's entry into the lake. If you are going in cool weather or if it is raining, bring warm clothing.
