Reviews
We had an incredible day exploring the Koala Sanctuary and the Penguin Parade, all thanks to our guide, Anthony! He was professional, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time. His insights into the local wildlife made the experience so much richer.
A must go for nature lovers. We were able to sight numerous Koalas, Wallabies, cape barren goose before finally able to meet little penguins. It was hassle free booking on klook. It was my first experience on this platform, hence I opted for No show refund as well. However, felt great after reaching the location. Tour guide simply matched names, no more questions asked. There were no hidden charges or misouts. You will get whatever is mentioned on itinerary. I went forward to book my Great Ocean Road trip after this
Fiona was absolutely amazing. She single handedly managed the entire tour from driving the bus, sharing stories and watching out for us. A good way to learn about the conservatory efforts of the very precious Koalas and Penguins. Bus was also clean with wifi provided, USB charging pods were also available. Just wished that we had more time to enjoy the delicious lunch and explore the area. Definitely recommend everyone to try it. Cheers!
I went with Autopia Tours. It was amazing, just hope we had more time during lunch break to explore Philip Island (which could mean earlier departure). Fiona was amazing, she gave us tips on where to sit to watch the penguins and where's the wind direction. We get to see hundreds of penguin, don't sit by the beach for long. Walk around and you can see them walking. We saw Koalas too although they were sleeping. Please wear comfortable warm clothing if you go during winter and waterproof jackets/raincoats - in case it rains. For Muslims, there's halal kebab option if your tour stop at Cowes town. We arrived at Melbourne CBD at about 830pm.
Buy a last minute tour in the morning and use it for the tour that day. The guide was very smiling. Energy was very enthusiastic. The bus was comfortable. But the time spent highlighting The Nobies is only 30 minutes, which is a little too little. This area is best spent an hour walking around and taking nature photos. Spend some time at the Penguin Parade. 2 hours before the viewing time / should buy Express because you will be able to see more clearly.
Coach was able to pick us up right in front of our hotel. The tour included a visit to the Koala Reserve, where we were lucky to have seen koalas that were not sleeping. Tour guide brought us to a place near the penguin islands before the parade, where there were more choices for dinner at a cheaper price. We weren't able to get the penguin plus for a close look, but we went early to get a closer seat at the general view and we were lucky to see some penguins coming up in front of us. Sunsets late in summer so we left the islands at 2130, bus was on time to drop us back to hotel at 2330. Remember to bring enough clothes since the beach was chilling cold even in summer.
We were picked up on time at Crown Towers hotel. It has a lot of entrances so make sure you are at the correct entrance between Prada and Louis Vuitton. We did a quick stop at Tooradin town to get takeaway lunch. We then stopped at the Koala Conservation center, the Nobbies, and the Penguin Parade venue. Seeing the little penguins in their natural habitat was great. Too bad photography and videography is not allowed due to people forgetting to turn off their camera’s flash.
the tour guide is very caring , gentle and professional. Take us to see as many as we can. I have enjoyed the tour very much and definitely recommend friends to join their tour.
It was my first time to see koalas up close! They were so cute, I couldn't stop staring. I also had a wonderful time watching the penguins return from the sea to their nests for a long time. The penguins were so cute, trying so hard to get out of the sea and walk around! It's a shame that I couldn't take photos, but it's natural for animals in the wild, so I'd like to make sure to follow proper etiquette when watching.
Penguin Parade was a magical experience that created so many great memories for us. Our tour guide, Fiona was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and kind. She makes the effort to connect personally with every participant at the start of the tour and during the tour she shared her knowledge on the conservation efforts in Australia. We don't have photos from Penguin Parade itself as photography was not allowed, but we've attached photos from the other stops on the way.
