What to expect
Before the spread of television and movies, Okinawan theater was a popular form of entertainment, cherished as the people's greatest pleasure. Because it has been loved by the common people for approximately 140 years, the stories are easy to understand, the characters have a certain charm, and even first-time viewers are naturally drawn in. With the sound of the sanshin and songs, dances and humorous plays unfold one after another, and before you know it, you're laughing out loud – it's such an enjoyable time.
[Performance Schedule] ・Performance Dates: October 28, 2026 (Wed), November 4 (Wed), November 18 (Wed), December 9 (Wed), December 17 (Thu), January 15, 2027 (Fri), February 3 (Wed), February 17 (Wed), March 4 (Thu), March 25 (Thu) ・On each day, there will be a 1st performance from 14:00 to 15:00 and a 2nd performance from 17:00 to 18:00 (each performance is approximately 60 minutes, with doors opening 30 minutes before the start. You can choose the time slot that suits you best). ・Okinawan theater has regular performances twice a month. Future performance dates will be announced approximately 7 months prior to the event. ・Performances will only be held on the dates listed above. When making a reservation, please select the above performance dates on the reservation calendar.
