From Osaka - Ski/Snow Play at Mt.Rokko & Arima Onsen One Day Tour

The travel agency sent a letter the day before departure informing us that there were 14 of us that day. They thoughtfully assigned us a Chinese-speaking tour guide, which made communication easy. Our guide, Gino, has been in Japan for 9 years and was enthusiastic and friendly. He tried to find solutions for any needs we had. My son returned the sled in Mount Rokko, but wanted to play again in the afternoon, and the director also helped handle it. He said that this is usually not allowed. We left Mount Rokko at 2 PM and arrived at Arima Onsen at 2:30 PM, for a total stay of two hours. We went to Taiko Onsen for a one-hour course, which was really great and enjoyable. I highly recommend tour guide Gino and this travel agency. Thumbs up!

Guide is Sung Min who is very friendly and nice and gave good info, and his English is quite good. As I have read from other reviews about the artificial snow being a bit rough, I know what to expect. We were very lucky that it really snowed lightly in and off when we visited on 15 Dec morning so there was indeed real snow. It is a good day trip with sufficient time at snow park and onsen town. we chose to take only sled rides and it was enough for us to keep occupied. but we did hear good comments from another family who took ski lessons. we enjoyed the free foot bath and tried some snacks at Onsen town. time allocated was sufficient for both activities. would have liked to visit Kobe premium outlet but there is no such option for the period we travel.

This trip includes skiing and hot springs. Our guide, Gino, was very attentive in introducing each attraction and recommending delicious food. The skiing instruction was also clearly explained. He also took the students to familiarize themselves with the cable car routes and enthusiastically assisted with skiing. We soaked in the hot springs first, but the tour guide took us to stroll around the hot spring street and recommended delicious food, making this trip a perfect happy ending.

Our driver, tour guide, and ski instructor, Mr. Nan Sang, was very enthusiastic and patient in helping us. There were only 9 people (3 families) on the tour that day. We traveled in a small Sea Lion van, and the itinerary went smoothly. The time spent at the ski resort was sufficient, but beginners don't really learn much, just basic practice. Even just that will exhaust your energy faster than the time allotted. The temperature that day was about 15 degrees Celsius, and you'll be sweating if you practice diligently. The Arima Onsen time was a bit rushed. You have to walk up many steep slopes to reach Taiko no Yu. With a 2-hour stay, deducting the time for changing clothes/storing items and walking back and forth, the actual time to soak in the hot springs is only about 1 hour!

Great day trip. The meeting point is conveniently located in Dotonbori and you can bring breakfast to eat on the bus. We spent about four hours at the Rokko Snow Park before heading to Arima Onsen. I recommend going to Taiko-no-Yu, a large onsen facility. With the Rokko Snow Park ticket, there are quite a few discounts. You don't need to bring your own toiletries. The tour ends back in Dotonbori around 5 PM.

It was a good experience but you need to reserve or book the learning school if you have no experience in skiing. It was crowded too. So it's hard to ski if you can't control your ski. You need to know some basic to ski by yourself. Qfter skiing can go for Spa for Arima Onsen.

At first a bit worry because i did not see anybody at the meeting point for this tour. Luckily 10minutes before departure, the guide is here. Tour guide, Lully is very helpful, pretty and nice person. She explains in few language, very good job!. Mr rokko mountain is very nice view. Feel really warm and comfort at amari onsen.

This was my first time learning to ski with a group tour, and the ski instructor taught very well, constantly encouraging everyone not to give up. In the end, my whole family basically learned and was able to ski on their own. The tour guide, Curtis, also explained the itinerary and introduced the places on the bus, and translated in different languages. He was very professional, friendly, and polite, and also helped tour members take pictures. It was very worthwhile to join this tour, and I recommend it to everyone.

Our tour guide was very kind and patient while teaching us how to ski. Skiing was very fun. Recommended for families with young kids. Arima onsen was not very fun for kids.

The children's father didn't want to go in, and Curtis thoughtfully and considerately helped us take our son into the men's bath. After our son came out, he happily shared many, many stories. It was truly a wonderful experience and worth sharing!
