Kota Kinabalu Kinabalu Park & Poring Hot Spring Full-Day Tour

20th June 2025, family and I having this trip, overall is enjoyable especially having tour guide Jeff who is a biophilic person. We are the only group thus able to go with our own pace. The weather was bad in the week we arrived kota kinabalu, so Jeff proposed to switch the sequence of Kinabalu Park and Poring Hot Spring as hot spring there is small hiking part where not suitable for raining. The morning started with sunny day and we managed to enjoy the small hiking with hot spring. Lunch we took opposite hot spring, malay restaurant with chinese style cooking, personally not use to the taste. The weather turned bad when visiting Desa farm. When arrived Kinabalu park(last point), it is raining, we had a short stay here. Probably will visit Kinabalu park if here again. For rafflesia it is not included, but Jeff managed to find one for us to visit. Before trip, Jeff did informed us some entrance fees will be needed, including the rafflesia. Thank you Jeff once again.

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed this day trip; we had a fantastic time! Our guide, Xiao Yang, was incredibly knowledgeable, not only about the plants and insects along the way but also sharing a lot of local culture and history. So, this trip allowed us to appreciate beautiful scenery, learn a great deal, and even discover some recommended local delicacies. We felt very satisfied 🥳 Xiao Yang also adjusted the itinerary based on weather changes, making each attraction more enjoyable. We are truly grateful 😊 Highly recommend!

On the day of our tour, it wasn’t very crowded. There were only two of us, so it felt like a private tour! Our guide, Mr. Handsome Jeff, provided exceptional service. He was both knowledgeable and friendly. We were lucky to have a clear view of Mt. Kinabalu during the trip. The walks around Poring Hot Spring and Kinabalu Park were also a lot of fun. Mr. Jeff shared so much interesting information about the local flora and fauna, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The scenery around Desa Farm was absolutely beautiful!

Everything went great! Our guide and driver, Dudy, was very pleasant and told us a lot of interesting things. We visited all the places on the tour and even more. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Even when heavy rain disrupted our plans and prevented us from visiting the rainforest canopy walkway—which appears to have been closed for ongoing maintenance anyway, you can always fill your itinerary with Desa Dairy Farm & quick look at Rafflesia. Day well spent.

This tour allowed us to fully enjoy the nature around Mount Kinabalu. We were worried about seeing a Rafflesia, but fortunately, during the tour, we received information that there were two Rafflesia flowers blooming, and our guide took us to see them. We were able to see both beautifully bloomed flowers and those that were starting to wither, and we learned a lot about their growth process. After lunch, I felt unwell, possibly due to heatstroke, and couldn't participate in the afternoon activities, but the guide and driver kindly let me rest in the car. Thank you very much.

I highly recommend you to choose this your for enjoying spectacle view of Mt. Kinabalu, Rafflesia and Canopy walk at Poling Hotspring with knowledgeable and friendly guide Mr. William. He is definitely a professional guide, and you’ll absolutely be satisfied with this tour.

our guide, prince william, was very nice and entertaining. drive there took 2.5h and we were very lucky to see mount kk loud and proud. had to pay extra 30 ringgit each to see rafflesia (but full refund if you don’t get to see it eg if it’s not in bloom). lunch was part of the package - Ayam penyet, simply delicious. the flowers at the farm was nice, ice cream was alright, doesn’t really live up to the type, rmb to bring your own money to purchase the ice cream. hot spring was ok, quite dirty so only recommended to dip maximum just ur feet (we just skipped it altogether). I liked the canopy walk but it was full of young kids on school/field trips hence was super crowded and we didn’t get to enjoy it properly. pls bring insect repellent for the hike haha. overall nice experience but slightly pricey

The whole trip was great, Eileen our tour guide was very nice and super helpfull, unfortunately the weather not very good the night before, made us not possible to view the peak of mt.kinabalu from Pekan Nabalu. What I love the most is botanical garden in kinabalu park, amazing! not forget to mentioned Robin our excellent driver. thank you providing the great package! love it!

This is the best tour! Especially the guide in the photo, he's a great guy, funny, and the best guide ever! Even if you're not good at English, it's no problem! If you're Japanese and worried, definitely give this a try! Lastly, the guide was such a great guy, I'll say it again, you'll want to tip him!
