Tokyo: Mount Omuro & Jogasaki Coast Full-Day Guided Tour

Mount Omuro is very beautiful place! The view from the top is amazing and very peaceful. We take the lift going up, it was fun also. Walking around the crater is very unique experience, not something you see everyday. It’s easy activity but very worth it. I really enjoy this place!

Today’s weather was perfect for the trip. Our guide, Carter Sasaki, was really enthusiastic. We spent most of our time on the road as the distance to our destination was far, but he kept the atmosphere lively and was sharing about Japan culture. He helped to take good photos too. Wish we had more time to spend at Mt Omuro though. It was an amazing place with breathtaking views. It was definitely the highlight of this trip. Second was the beautiful Jogasaki Coast. The trip went smoothly and we managed to cover every spot planned in the itinerary.

The weather was great that day. The tour guide, Xiao Hu, and the driver were very professional and got us up the mountain quickly. The scenery on the mountain was beautiful, and we could clearly see Mount Fuji.

[Izu Peninsula Day Trip: The Perfect Experience] Mt. Omuro's grassy trails are as cute as matcha cake, and the waves crashing against the cliffs under the Jogasaki Coast suspension bridge are absolutely stunning! Ito Marine Town's retro streets and seafood market are captivating, and the onsen tamago (hot spring eggs) and freshly grilled splendid alfonsino are to die for! Because it was a Japanese holiday, O室 Mountain was incredibly crowded. The cable car line was at least a three-hour wait. So, our enthusiastic guide, Carter Sasaki, quickly changed our itinerary. We checked out O室 Mountain first, then visited 小室 Mountain. From 小室 Mountain, we were able to enjoy a distant view of O室 Mountain, and the scenery was also very beautiful. After that, we went to Jogasaki Coast, which was perfect. The driver was also very nice. Overall, I was very satisfied with this trip, and it left me with wonderful memories. ☺️

Our tour guide today was Olivia, who is fluent in English, Chinese, and Japanese! She carefully explained the background of each attraction and introduced local delicacies. Always smiling, we're very grateful to Olivia. Although this route is mainly outdoors, the activity level is moderate and suitable for all ages!

Unfortunately the day we went to Izu was incredibly cold and rainy. This meant that the cable cars to the Mt omuro was closed but we did an alternative hike up to another hill instead. Jogosaki coast was absolutely stunning despite the drizzle. And naturally I had a lovely dip in the onsen at the Ito Marine town for a comforting end to the day. Our tour guide is also the driver and she is incredibly driving 3h to and fro!

Mr. Ko was a kind and overall decent tour guide, and I’m giving him 5 stars as he fulfilled his duties reasonably well. While he does understand and speak English, communication could have been clearer at times. On a few occasions, he came across as a bit demanding, and I found it difficult to get direct answers to some of my questions. That said, I recognize that everyone is doing their best, and I appreciate the effort he put into his work. I hope the team continues to strive for even better communication and customer service in the future. Also, please also don’t force the customers to give you a 5 star Rating. Thank you!
