Sam and his family have a great kimchi family recipe that we were able to share and learn. I tried it with my Korean family, and they also found it very authentic. The Hanok is also worth experiencing. My conclusion: great hosts, great cooking instructor, great preparation, great location. 2 wonderful hours of getting closer to Korean culture through food. Thank you very much, and continued success 🌸🫶

We had a great experience learning about Kimchi! The group is small so it feels very personal. The location is amazing, you get to cook in the little patio in one of the traditional houses, so really a sneak peak into the life of the locals, which I don’t think we would have had if we didn’t book this class. Sam is a passionate cook, with a lot of experience which definitely showed when sharing his recipe for the most *crunchy* kimchi pancake ever! We liked that he suggested a lot of alternatives for different ingredients when we want to make kimchi ourselves in the future. I liked the fact that while cutting the vegetables and grilling the delicious meat, we could have a conversation with Sam and the other people who booked the class. It’s nice to share experiences about travelling with other tourists and hearing Sam talk about life in Korea. The class took about two hours, perfect lunch activity and nice location because you can explore the beautiful Hanok houses and cute shops afterwards. Sam was also very kind to give some tips for good restaurants if you have some specific Korean meals you want to try. Definitely would recommend this class, true hidden gem. Thanks Sam!!

Loved every minute of this class. If you are looking for a truly authentic experience, this is it. Sam's instructions for finding the meeting point were very clear and easy to follow. On meeting Sam was very helpful, informative and welcoming. The venue is super cute, as it is a residential home it really has that homely feel and the group was small so made the experience feels like something you are doing at home. An explanation about kimich and the Korean culture around it. Sam walked us through each step whilst explaining what's happening, loved that he got us to taste the ingredients at different stages as we went along, which will help with trying to remake this at home on my own. We also made pancakes, the end products were delicious, and we got bbq meat to eat with our freshly made kimich 😋this class made for a fun afternoon. So excited to make this when I get home 🇬🇧 Sam thank you for a fun, informative and delicious experience. 🫰🏾

The Kimchi class was an absolutely unforgettable experience! The location alone, a beautiful, traditional Korean house (Hanok) made it truly special. Preparing Kimchi in the charming courtyard felt incredibly authentic and immersive. We even got to enjoy the warm sun while making our Kimchi, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Sam is a fantastic host and instructor. He explains every step with patience and deep knowledge, answering all questions enthusiastically. I also really appreciated that he caters to everyone’s needs, even offering vegan options. After making our own Kimchi, we made delicious Kimchi pancakes. And as a final treat, we got to enjoy the fresh kimchi in different variations with meat or tofu. Every bite was an explosion of flavors! In just a few hours, I learned so much about the art of Kimchi-making, the traditions behind it, and Korean culture as a whole. This class is not just educational but also a wonderful way to experience Korean heritage firsthand. I’m incredibly grateful for this experience and highly recommend it to everyone! Thank you!

A must have experience for your trip! To start, you are in a beautiful historic neighborhood. Small class size (10 people) allows the instructor Sam to familiarize with everybody as well as communication between each other. Was impressed with the class’ diversity with country of origin. Plenty knowledge shared from Sam and laughs had with one another. Feel good knowing the leftover kimchi you make goes directly to impoverished citizens. But you also get to taste your own creation on its own as well, plus cooking pancake with aged kimchi complimented with pork and tofu.

Sam was absolutely amazing !Super knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about the history of Korean cuisine. He made the process easy to follow, even for beginners, and shared fascinating insights into the fermentation process.
