Reviews
It's a good experience. You can experience the atmosphere of old Shanghai. It is recommended to arrive early for makeup and costume changes, otherwise the time will be very tight. The food is also delicious
The location and environment were very good. However, the ticket exchange area was small and very crowded. The food was generally okay, but the performance level was below expectations. I was expecting 1930s Shanghai ㅠㅠ
customer service was attentive, polite and very professional. the food was above average but not spectacular…overall experience show value seemed a bit costly. was hoping for a higher level of dance performance but the young lady singing (not lip syncing) was very impressive. hee take on some of the classic Theresa Tang songs was quite enjoyable. do go to the rooftop for the best view of the Bund at night after the show….def worth it!
After placing the order, you can contact customer service via email to schedule a date and time. Then, a customer service representative will contact you via WeChat to arrange the following details. Customer service mentioned beforehand that if you need to do makeup and change costumes, you can arrive as early as 9:30 AM. I arrived at 9:45 AM, but the security guard at the entrance on the first floor stopped me from entering, even after showing my entry pass. The guard said I had to wait until the mall opened at 10:00 AM to enter. After asking customer service, they replied to just wait 15 minutes and then enter. After entering, walk towards the back on the first floor to reach the costume rental & makeup room (the restaurant is on the 5th floor). Surprisingly, there were already people getting their makeup done? I received number 15. After choosing my clothes, I waited from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM, and they were still doing makeup for number 13 (there were a total of 3 makeup artists). However, the performance show at the restaurant started at 11:50 AM, which left me speechless. If they don't have the capacity, why accept so many customers for makeup? I directly refused, saying I didn't need it anymore, but the makeup artist and the counter staff still asked if I wanted to wait a little longer. (This performance show is the highlight; missing it for makeup is putting the cart before the horse.) I stated that I didn't need it. The counter staff had me provide some information and said they would request a refund for the "makeup" portion from the original purchasing platform. It has been almost 2 weeks, and I have not yet received any information regarding the refund. I only give this experience a 2-star review. 1 star for the customer service that helped with the reservation, and 1 star for the wonderful performance show. If you plan to come here and want to get your makeup done, consider it carefully. (If you're just eating, there's nothing to worry about.)
If you want a special Shanghai trip, I recommend it. It's really fun. There's so much to see, it's fun. The food isn't bad either. It's a course meal, but it's fun. The performance planning and service planning are really perfect, but the skill level is a little lacking, but I was satisfied enough.
It's a good experience. You can experience the atmosphere of old Shanghai. It is recommended that you arrive at the scene early for makeup and costume changes, otherwise you will be in a hurry.
The service is good, the food and the atmosphere are nice, but there are too many stairs which is hard for the elderly. The singing and dancing performances could be improved, and the choreography elements should be richer. Since professional dancers are used, they should be put to good use.
The experience overall, while it is an interesting concept, does not vow as much as I thought it would. Performances: It was good to watch the performance while having your meal but it was nothing spectacular. Food: Quality was below average compared to the food you can get around Shanghai. Some dishes were downright questionable in terms of quality. Service: Hit & miss depending on the server assigned to your area/table. Ours was alright but not attentive. Location: Easy to get to along The Bund.
All the staff members are very friendly and the performance is really worth watching. Don't do anything else and do this. There were also staff members who spoke Korean well so there was no difficulty.
The service and friendliness were perfect in every way.
