Colosseum Guided Tour

I’d wanted to do the underground tour for a long time and this holiday I finally did . Our tour Guide Margarita was excellent , clear and extremely professional. this is my third time visiting the Coliseum but I had never learned so much as with your tour . . I have to mention her style involves walking backwards as she keeps eye contact with the group as possible . that’s amazing 3 hour effort !

Our guide Rita was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. she guided us through the entire complex from the lower levels and all the way up. she then took us on to Palatine Hill and again knew so much and allowed us to interact with her and ask questions very personable. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants access and information about the Colosseum and the surrounding amazing sites.

The guide walked slowly, which was helpful. It was an English guide, but I think I was able to enjoy it. The meeting point in the morning was easy to understand and it was easy to gather. It is quite difficult to purchase tickets for the underground alone. It sells out quickly, so I recommend joining this tour.

There are many arenas in Europe, but probably only here can you see the real appearance of the underground arena. It is strongly recommended to participate in this once in a lifetime experience. The guide's informative introduction and humorous tone are very rewarding. He introduced many observation points, which can help you understand how powerful and strong Rome was at that time. English listening skills must be close to intermediate or advanced to understand the introduction. In addition, the entire trip is 3 hours and there is no time to go to the toilet, so you must go to the toilet first before participating!

The meeting point is easy to find, it is recommended to bring your own suitable headphones. It starts from the Roman Forum, but because there is also a subsequent Colosseum underground tour, there is not much time to carefully see the Forum. You can ask the guide if a 24-hour ticket is applicable so you can come back and see it yourself. The Colosseum underground tour is very different from the general tour. You can see the route where gladiators used to appear, and you can also stand in the emperor's box viewpoint, which is not accessible to the general public. This is the biggest highlight of the trip.

I am very happy with our tour guide, Mr. Carmelo. He is a very informative and knowledgeable person when it comes to tours regarding the Colosseum. He explained each and every step during the tour, showed us a couple of videos, and allowed us to take many pictures. He is a very humble and friendly guide. He also helps you take pictures, making it well worth your money and your goal.

Although it is expensive, it is convenient to buy without having to go to the official website to grab tickets. It is rich in content and allows you to experience the grandeur of ancient Rome.

We visited the colusseum on 27th April'26. I had concerns after reading some reviews online - but arrive on time and read your emails as i got an email a week before stating the your starting time had changed. We did the guided tour with access to under the colusseum with 'The Ultimate Italy' Our guide was Vita, she was very plessent and had incredible knowledge and stories about the Colusseum. We had a great time, thanks Vita.

Our tour guide Carmelo was great and took the time to go into detail about all of the different things we were being shown. Would highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting the colosseum.
