What to expect
[Asahikawa Zoo] You can enjoy the polar bear pavilion where polar bears dive and play. Asahiyama Zoo mainly features animals from cold regions. The park has carefully created an environment that is closest to the natural habitat, and is the first zoo in Japan to successfully naturally breed polar bears, Amur leopards, and horned owls. [Blue Pond] The Blue Pond, lightly shrouded in mist, is Hokkaido’s “Internet-famous Secret Spot”. The clear lake water reflects a jewel-like blue-green color under the sunlight, and the thin ice frozen on the lake surface in winter contrasts with the rime ice on the shore. [White Beard Falls] The White Beard Falls, hidden in a dense forest, gets its name from the white water droplets splashed by the water flow hitting the rocks, which resemble a “white beard”. There's no tour guide on the trip, only a driver. The driver will direct you to which direction to go after arriving at the destination. You need to buy your own tickets for Asahikawa Zoo, but the itinerary says tickets are included 🤔. The rest of the itinerary is generally the same. The driver will contact you a day in advance to confirm. Overall, it's ok.
I’ve been to other trips via Klook and the experience is on par. The coordinator is very responsive via email since I dont have WeChat. I was able to locate the tour guide at the meetup point and on time. He is very approachable, talks to us about changes in itinerary (due to weather conditions), and fluently speaks in English, Japanese, and Chinese). Overall, time per location is managed well (a bit rush, but that’s a given to get to other places on time) and I had a great time with this tour. I would recommend this to fellow tourists. The tour is really fun! The tour guide arrived on time and leave on time. The penguins are really cute. We arrived in Biei christmas tree quite early so we were able to find a good spot for photo. overall it's good.
we had a hard time finding our tour guide because she not around the area when we got there and so many tour guides and tourist flock the area. she wasn't that fluent in English and really not that accomodating to everyone. I hope that they would improve their service. thank you.

Convenient for those who don't rent a car to drive themselves. Each place is beautiful, but there is limited time. The tour is a bit of a spur-of-the-moment tour. The car is a bit old. There is a bit of cold wind coming in through the window, but it is worth the price.

- Hokkaido's roads are slippery in winter due to snow, so please be careful when traveling.
