ease of booking on Klook: we book on the spot on the day of visit and received instant confirmation and just use the voucher to enter directly. booking n redemption is fused free experience: the mini zoo is neat n clean. the animals were roaming n flying freely in the enclosed area. the children had fun watching the tiger, crocodiles, penguins etc the cafe is where the tiger n crocodiles r kept. there is also capybara n beaver n the sea otter price:the price of entry is reasonable facilities: it’s located near to the mall n monorail station
NIFREL is a beautifully designed, immersive experience that blends a zoo, aquarium, and art gallery into one. Located near the Expo City in Osaka, it stands out for its open-concept exhibits and close-up animal encounters. The layout is modern and thoughtfully curated, with interactive zones where you can observe animals like capybaras, jellyfish, and even white tigers in aesthetically lit, minimalist environments. It’s a fantastic visit for both kids and adults—engaging, educational, and surprisingly peaceful. Plan for 1.5–2 hours, and don’t miss the free-roaming animal zone!
I used #klook to buy Osaka Attractions Pass (three attractions) today. I used one of the passes to make a reservation for #nifrel. This aquarium doesn't feel like an aquarium. There are many other elements in it. The white tiger yawned and licked its fur like a big cat. It was super cute. Maybe it was because he saw the hippopotamus across the street being fed. I was also a little hungry, so I ate tiger snacks in the cafe for afternoon tea. There were also crocodiles, capybaras, peacocks, penguins, planet projections, bouncing fish, and fish that spray water. The whole place felt more like an exotic animal museum. I bought socks with "Made in Taiwan" written on them in the aquarium as souvenirs. There was a huge Ferris wheel #osakawheel 🎡 next to it. You can spend 1,000 yen to ride it. The floor is transparent. I dare not look down. When you sit on it, you can have a bird's eye view of the whole Osaka. The Expo Memorial Park next to it was closed and I couldn't go in, but I could clearly see the facilities of the entire park from above. I will have a chance to go to the Expo Memorial Park Station again in the future. I have to take the Osaka Monorail. The driver is very interesting.
It's an E-ticket, no need to exchange for an entrance ticket. You can enter by scanning the QR code received from Klook. When you enter, you will receive a cute postcard as a souvenir. The place is not very big. Spend about 1-2 hours there and sit in the dining area, enjoy the view of the Expo'70 garden. Go on a weekday afternoon, there aren't many people, you can walk around and relax. After coming out of Nifrel, sit on the Osaka Wheel and watch the sunset.
easy to get into venue without having to Q for tickets. just scan QR Code. interesting place, recommended for family with children (youth is fine too) . personally don’t love the idea of having the white tiger, it looks so sad.
Decided to visit even though it seemed like a children's destination. We were so wrong! This place is stunning, the sea life and animals were beautifully presented for an up close experience. The venue was easy to navigate and the lack of cages / bars made the viewing so natural. The large globe in the play area was mesmerizing to watch and the music was very soothing. Lovely shop at the exit with treasures to take home. So delighted we made a snap decision to go. No pre- booking and the monorail stops close by.
A one-of-a-kind experience! It’s the first time I’ve been to an aquarium/zoo where you can freely observe the animals from close up without high barriers/glass walls. Not too crowded as well. The Behavior exhibit is a must visit!
Nirfel is definitely a great place for kids. The atmosphere and all educational and fun activities encourages kids curiosity and attention to the animals and plants. 💙🩵💙🩵 The reservation at Klook saves times for queues at the entrance. 👍🏻👍🏻

Guide

  • NIFREL Aquazoo is a unique combination of aquarium, zoo, and museum in one facility
  • Enjoy an eye opening sensory experience and interact with unique mammals, birds, and fishes
  • Observe the creatures, big and small, in their beautiful custom-built habitats
  • Experience what it's like to view the earth and other planets from space

You may think of a zoo as a place full of caged animals. NIFREL Interactive Aquazoo is the exact opposite. Visit this interactive aquazoo and you'll feel as if you have wandered into the world of animals, with minimal barriers between you and the majestic creatures, so you experience coexistence with wildlife. This "living museum" is based on the concept of Kansei-ni Fureru, which means "touching with sensitivity". You'll find an interesting mix of sea creatures, birds, and land mammals, including jellyfish, sharks, and otters. The attraction has 7 zones with different artistic presentations that highlight the individuality of each creature: "Colors" (sea creatures with distinctive colors), "Waterside" (waterside mammals like miniature hippos, capybaras, and white tigers), "Behavior" (uncaged animals like ring-tailed lemurs, toucans, and African penguins), "Biodiversity" (question the meaning of sameness and uniqueness in relation to nature), and "Wonder Moments" (an art exhibit that makes you feel like you are in outer space).
