Sanxia Great Bear Cherry Blossom Forest/Sanxia Zushi Temple/Sanxia Old Street Day Trip

Must do when you’re in taiwan and want to experience cherry blossoms! It was a carpool so we shared the van with other passengers. Trip was chill and the driver was easy to negotiate with the pick up times per stop. It was a pretty chill trip and must try! If you’re around Ximen, this trip is really quick. It’s a quiet ride in the car, so you can even rest. The Three Gorges place is beautiful, though it was raining when we went, so we didn’t get to explore much since we didn’t have an umbrella. Overall, the trip was still really okay! 😁

Our driver arrived early and very courteous. The self-guided tour especially in Sanxia Old Street is unique because we 're able to eat traditional Taiwanese food and buy some authentic items not usually found in the malls. Best to see cherry blossoms in the 1st or 2nd week of February. Finally the driver is ready and willing to assist particularly when one doesn't know how to speak Taiwanese.

I was disappointed because it was so rainy and the cherry blossoms started falling off i wish klook was able to let us know the real situation but nonetheless it was okay

The original itinerary we signed up for was not able to join the car with the Three Gorges Big Bear Cherry Blossom Forest and had to be cancelled. The tour guide arranged for us to go to [Yehliu One-Day Tour Carpool] ================= Depart from Taipei - Yehliu Geopark - stay for about 70 minutes (tickets at your own expense) Shifen Waterfall - stay for about 1 hour Shifen Station - stay for about 1.5 hours (lunch at your own expense) Yin Yang Sea/Golden Waterfall/Thirteen-story Ruins Jiufen Old Street - stay for about 2 hours Return to Taipei

Driver picks you up at hotel and brings us to view the sakura. About 1h drive up a mountain. Then self explore until the designated time. Experience depend on weather and period u go. Not much to do at sanxia old town

The cherry blossoms are so pretty in Dashong Farm, Sanxia Old street is not so crowded and can do food trips and shopping.

You have to climb up in order to see the flowers. Quite tiring. They provide walking stick for free. There are only 2 types of flowers left at this time. The Sanxi Old Street nothing much to see. Alot of shops are closed on Tuesday.

This is a shared van only, no guides. The driver picked us up on time. There were only a few cherry blossoms when we visited (Feb 5, 2026). The hike was challenging and I do not recommend it to elderly people as the descend was quite challenging and there are no safetly rails on the edge of the tracks. However, the view was excelent and there were a lot of benches for guest to rest in between hikes. Sausage, corn and other snacks were available. Restrooms were clean. For the oldtown, we just bought fruits. It gives you a glimpse of local life, nothing much to see.

The driver was kind and polite, the shuttle was comfortable, the itinerary was well arranged, and it was a great experience. Great value for money, highly recommended👍
