What to expect
Wonderful scenery of spring - Snow Wall Speaking of snow walls, most of the ones that come to mind are the snow walls of Kurobe Tateyama. In fact, at the foot of the Zao Mountain Range in Minamiya Castle, there is also the famous snow wall attraction “Zao ECO LINE” with a height of about 9 meters. There are only a few days a year where you can enjoy the special “Snow Wall FREE WALK” walking along the road. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the double dreamy landscape of snow and cherry blossoms. Shiraishi Riverbank Ichimoku Senbonzakura is one of the famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan and has been selected into Japan’s “Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots”. With the clear Shiroishi River and the snow-capped Zao Mountains as the background, the Yoshino Sakura trees in the center are in full bloom with about 1,200 cherry blossom trees, making it the town’s iconic landscape. The blue sky is reflected on the clear water of the Shiroishi River, the cherry blossoms all over the mountains are blooming in brilliant pink, and the snow-covered mountains behind them form a sharp contrast, which is a visual feast! Puppet Museum is a traditional handicraft from Northeast Japan. The puppets produced in various places are different in shape, size, hairstyle, expression, clothing, etc. Very cute!

Reviews
the trip was amazing. Yen, our tour guide was very accommodating, she speaks well both English, Chinese and Japanese. She assisted us all throughout the trip and explains the history of the place. I’ll definitely book again together with my family.
The tour was enjoyable and well-paced. The guide was kind and gave out helpful maps, making it easy to explore. Since it’s self-guided, a bit more historical or cultural context would’ve made the experience even richer.
The itinerary was very well-planned, and the overall experience was extremely satisfying. The tour guide was very attentive and polite, providing clear explanations and accommodating guests speaking different languages, which made the entire trip easy and smooth. Even though it rained that day, the atmosphere of the trip remained excellent, and all the attractions were well worth visiting. It was a very pleasant travel experience.
I couldn't go by myself because I don't have a car. The snow wall was only on its second day, and it was already a bit dirty, like it had been exposed to smoke. Deep down, I was indifferent; I just wanted to experience it. On the day we went, there was no sun, and it was so windy and cold that I felt like I could be blown away. There were two nationalities on the tour: Thai and Chinese. The Thais felt like substitutes; the Chinese were prioritized (which I understood, as there were fewer Thais). We spent quite a long time on the bus, about 1.5 hours on the way there. The guide tried her best, but we could take care of ourselves because the Chinese group surrounded the guide almost constantly. There was one restroom stop at the top. I liked the Kokeshi Museum; it was clean and had a nice, somewhat mysterious atmosphere. There was a shop selling goods. We had 2 hours for lunch. We went to an authentic Japanese restaurant and a bakery with delicious bread. Anyone who goes should definitely try it. It was fun walking around on our own. The guide never remembered us when checking who was on the bus; she always had to ask us our seat number (she asked every time we stopped, which was every 2 hours). The small bus was cramped, with knees touching and every seat full. Eventually, the guide gave up her seat for my partner and me. On the day we went, the cherry blossoms were beautiful, but the wind was very strong. We had 2 hours, but if you wanted to walk to the Guanyin statue and stay for the full 2 hours, it wouldn't be enough time.
The tour was awesome. We were able to experience snow and cherry blossoms in full bloom in the same day. It was worth the trip.
The Zao Snow Wall is spectacular, but unfortunately the weather was not very good. Plenty of time for cherry blossom viewing. The tour guide did not provide a detailed introduction to the attractions. The translator's English needs to be improved.
Although Japanese tour guides are supportive, they are serious and responsible and try their best to assist and serve. The driver drove smoothly and comfortably. The itinerary was well planned and the Shiraishi River embankment was so beautiful. Will go again if I have the chance.
it is very nice place, enjoy.
It's definitely worth going, the tour guide Yan arranged everything perfectly!
