Florence Duomo Guided Tour Experience

had an amazing tour with Carmen . very thorough, easy to understand. highly recommend this tour. it actually went a few mins over the hour. she answered all the questions.

The guided tour shared many interesting things. Just while waiting for the doors to open in front of the Florence Cathedral, the guide shared fascinating facts and history about the cathedral and its surrounding buildings.

I arrived at the meeting place specified in the reservation information at 9:10 AM. The person wearing the white T-shirt and the green scarf in the reservation information did not show up. We waited until 10 AM. I searched the surrounding area, but I could not find the guide, and we could not leave. When I contacted the travel agency, the person who spoke to me said that we did not arrive on time. Since we were on time, the staff who blamed us made me very upset. Since this was a short walking tour, I asked for the guide's location to find the location and join them, but they just kept repeating that it was my fault, which was very unpleasant. I want a 100% refund from this tour and the agency.

I thought we could go up to the cupola, but we were only able to see the first floor of the cathedral. The guide arrived just in time and didn't even have a white shirt. He tried his best to explain in English, but I didn't understand more than half of what he said. I bought a ticket to go up to the cupola and bell tower again.

The guide did not follow the instructions written in order to meet him/her. For example, they were supposed to wear a white shirt and meet at a very specific point in a fairly large plaza in Florence. We were there at 9am for a 945am meetup. We couldn't find the guide at 930am, so we reached out to Klook customer service who told us they attempted to call the vendor who didn't answer. Klook asked us to wait until 10am, which we did. We were also asked to take photos that showed where we were to prove we were there at the right time. Klook said they would work with the vendor to get us a refund. The vendor refused - get this, they sent a WhatsApp message to my wife's phone (I did the booking, not my wife), and said the guide had moved the meeting spot and changed the color of their shirt. They theb proceeded to mark us as "no show". Avoid that tour vendor at all costs. Thankfully, Klook gave us a gift certificate for future tours, kudos to Klook and their customer service.

Tour guide meet up point instruction was terrible. It led our family to meet and waited by the train station Colonna San Zanobi which was about 12 minutes from the Duomo. We arrived at the meet up point 45 minutes prior to our entry time and with this confusion it caused us to meet up with the tour guide operator. We were unable to participate in the tour. The partner vendor Klook used was "My tour in Italy". No refund or change of time offered for our family of 6.

I arrived an hour before the meeting time, but the guide never showed up. When I contacted support, they eventually told me that support had been there. This wasted my precious time in Florence, and I do not recommend it.

I was at the meeting point on time for my reservation, but I received a call from the local operator saying that we would have to meet two days later. It was our last day in Florence, so I was really taken aback. I would like a refund immediately.
