Asakusa Kimono & Furisode Rental Experience (Tokyo / Provided by Wasou Komachi Kanon)

Had such a great experience with this kimono rental! Everything was super smooth from start to finish. The kimono fitting was quick and easy, and the staff were really efficient without making it feel rushed. The makeup was done fast but still looked beautiful and well-done. Everyone was so friendly and helpful too, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely recommend if you want something convenient, fast, and stress-free ✨

We had a wonderful experience with Wasou Komanchi Kanon during our kimono rental. The staff were incredibly warm, professional, and attentive from the moment we arrived. They helped me choose the perfect hairstyle and kimono, and made sure everything fit beautifully and comfortably. I never realized how much effort goes into the dressing process, but they made it smooth and efficient. We also booked a 30mins photography session with them, and the photographer — Yuki was amazing, she guiding us through beautiful spots around Asakusa and helping us capture stunning photos that made the experience even more special.

It rained that day, and the photographer was incredibly thoughtful, helping us carry our belongings. They were also great at guiding us through poses. We prefer a more natural, everyday feel, and they even helped us find gashapon machines and vending machines. The photoshoot that day was very enjoyable! You can also suggest any spots you like to the photographer. I initially thought an hour and a half would be a long time, but it flew by! (If I could upload more than six photos, I'd upload tons, LOL!) The photos and retouches were provided very quickly (we were actually still traveling and then back at work, so our response was slower, haha).

After comparing different options online, I finally decided to choose Wafuku Komachi. They actually have two stores, but the KLOOK and Instagram markings are not very clear, so I hope the store can adjust this. The store is new, and I had a great chat with the lady who greeted me (all in Chinese). As for the choice of kimono, since I chose hakama, there weren't as many options compared to other kimono choices, but since I was the first to arrive, I was still able to choose a very beautiful hem and furisode, and the combination was also very beautiful. The kimono was also very clean and new, and you can tell it was well taken care of. You can also temporarily store your free bags at the store. The Japanese teacher who dressed me was very efficient and quickly helped me get dressed. The teacher was very skilled with so many layers and complicated costumes. I also bought Japanese makeup and hairstyle services at the same time, hoping to make the rare opportunity perfect. I would especially like to thank the photographer "A Yu" who took photos for me. Although there were really many people in Asakusa! But thanks to his photography skills, he helped me preserve many beautiful scenes. I'm not very good at being photographed, but I was lucky to be with a female photographer. Her lens also captured many beautiful angles and light, and the weather was very good that day. Finally, I wore hakama and took the subway to another place to drink coffee and eat snacks. It was really a dream come true. Thank you for giving me such wonderful memories. I will come back next time to try different kimono styles.

There were three of us in total: myself and my two daughters, aged 16 and 13. We booked the lace kimono, makeup, hair, and photo shoot through Klook and went to the location, where everything went smoothly. The reception staff and hair and makeup artists were all native Chinese speakers, and the ladies who helped us put on the kimonos were Japanese. I had booked light makeup and was wondering how much preparation I needed to do that morning. I applied foundation, contour, light eyeshadow, light blush, and false eyelashes before going. The makeup artist then enhanced the colors, and it looked absolutely beautiful. The area under my eyes (aegyo-sal and outer corner shading) looked particularly lovely. My younger daughter had no prior experience with makeup, so she went without any. I was very pleased that the artist applied a light base and colors that were suitable for a young teenager, without being overdone. In particular, the blush application was so natural that it was a learning opportunity for me. Our hairstyles were also beautiful, and all three of us had a wonderful day. The photographer, Peter, was very professional and extremely kind. He taught us many cute poses that were great for taking pictures with children, which made the experience fun and enjoyable. Although there were additional costs for choosing pretty accessories and for the photo shoot, I believe it was a truly excellent choice until the very end.

We booked the 30-min photography session for two people and I have to say it was great! The rhythm was quick, but it was just the right amount so we could get photos in many different places and with different poses. It was also a great value for money. A big thank you in our photographer, Yuki! 😁

The staff were very helpful. The shop has many lovely outfits, with various price packages that include simple hairstyling. The staff are professional and styled me quickly and meticulously, paying close attention to detail.

The service appointment was very detailed, the service process was smooth, the kimono dresser was very professional, and we could also pay the price difference on-site to change plans.
