What to expect
The day trip to Machu Picchu from Cusco begins at 5:15 AM with a private vehicle pick-up from your Cusco hotel, heading to Ollantaytambo, where you arrive at 7:15 AM. After a brief rest and optional light breakfast, you board a train at 7:45 AM for a scenic ride to Aguas Calientes, reaching there by 09:15 AM. One person of the Agency meets you at the train station and escorts you to take a 30-minute bus ride up the zigzag road to Machu Picchu. Arriving at the entrance around 11:00 AM the guide will waiting, you explore the iconic ruins until 13:00 PM. The return journey to Cusco begins with a bus ride back to Aguas Calientes, followed by a train to Ollantaytambo at 16:22 PM and a vehicle transfer back to your hotel in Cusco, concluding the trip around 20:00 PM.
