We really liked staying at the hotel in Japanese styled room with onsen. It was spacious with all needed equipment and accessories. The breakfast was typically Japanese so we didn’t know what we ate but generally we had nice experience at this hotel.

The onsen is very close to the station, thus, very convenient. At first we thought that the place was dark and unwelcoming but when we entered the lobby, it was very beautiful. The staff were very helpful and approachable. The room is clean, big and very comfortable. The main onsen has indoor and outdoor setting which were both relaxing, the water is natural so you can see some stains but it’s okay. It is also tattoo friendly, you can just ask for tattoo patches at the lobby. There are different snacks, however, we were not able to try it because there were time limits. The breakfast was nice and well prepared. If you are looking for a traditional onsen experience, we highly recommend this place. We will definitely come back.

whilst the room facilities are showing their age we could not fault the staff and service. Location is absolutely perfect for getting around the area for sightseeing.

transport access: Hakone is filled with different types of transport (cable cars, trains, busses, gondala, boats) - is it perplexing to get to? yes a bit - is it doable - also yes. breakfast: impeccable and delicious- so much food. a real taste of Japanese cuisine in luxury. cleanliness: very clean, lovely rooms. outdoor showers are an experience for sure- not sure really how private they actually are but the private bath was definitely everything we had hoped for — not to mention complimentary snacks and ramen in the evening + the use of the yakuta. it was our first time and we absolutely adored it.

loved this hotel! the room was spacious and felt luxurious. staff were great. location was excellent. the only negative was how hot the room was, you can’t adjust the thermostat and the windows didn’t open. It was boiling for us Canadians.

Deluxe Japanese Western Style Room with Open-Air Bath · 2 Adults · 1 Nights

This was such a great stay! The place is beautiful and charming. The staff were so friendly and everything you needed was available. The dinner and breakfast too were so delicious and plentiful, you truly get your money's worth. Very near the train station as well. Our one complaint may be with the private bath in the hotsprings. The one we were in had two baths and one filled up relatively quickly while the other had very weak water so we ended up just taking turns in the one bath. But other than that, this place was great! The private bath in the rooms themselves were amazibg.
