I have now travelled to all the universal studio parks in the world which was a goal of mine. I have stayed at a hotel at all the parks now as well. The hotel was great and staff is friendly. There are some language barriers but they are all willing to help and will use their translator machines when needed. It is the least themed hotel I have been to out of all I have travelled to. There are some cool minions in the lobby but that is about it. I think the hotel offers themed rooms but at a higher room rate. It takes away from the experience when only the lobby and the elevators are themed. So I would just recommend that they do all rooms themed when they next renovate. The room was a bit dated and a lot of wear and tear but I had a great view of the park and it was clean! Very close to the park like a 5-7 minute walk. Close to the metro so stayed here the whole trip to Osaka and used the metro to get around the city. Would recommend to stay but bare in mind very little theming.

Universal Port was perfectly situated diagonally from the main entrance to City Walk. Anyone familiar with the US parks already understands that City Walk is the gateway to Universal’s main gate. Unlike the US parks, however, Japan has direct access to City Walk by train, making the hotel’s location ideal for those who also want to explore the city by rail. The breakfast is also phenomenal. They offer traditional Japanese cuisine with a few western options thrown in for those of us who like a bit of familiarity with our food exploration! Best of all, the price could not be beat for a theme park hotel. If you’re hesitating, this is your sign to reserve your room today!

The hotel was great complete with amenities and very clean and spacious. Although for me other hotels are much near to the university train station and usj itself. If we will visit usj next time, I will probably book the ones nearer.
