Fantastic Hotel was great. We had a double bed room that was very large for Japan standards. Could of had a small party in room. One of the best hotels we have stayed at around Japan.

Great First of all, if you are visiting Makuhari messe for an exhibition, the location of this hotel is perfect. The nearest station is Chiba minato, which is only 3 stops away from Kaihin Makuhari, and to access to Narita, you can ride a monorail to Chiba, then transfer to JR Narita. To go to the downtown of Tokyo, it takes about 40~45mins to Tokyo station without changing a line.
The sauna/bath on the 10th floor is very well equipped and managed, and the breakfast is very delicious.
However, the style of room is a bit out of trend, and a lack of electrical outlet (to plug in) near a bed is kind of downside.
Overall, I enjoyed staying at this hotel with the nice sauna and well educated staffs.

Fantastic We stayed here for five nights, while on business with Chiba University. The hotels closer to the train station were full, and booked the Okura just based on the photos. It's very convenient to the Chiba Urban Monorail line which gets you into Chiba Station in just a couple of minutes. The port area is also nearby, but there weren't many restaurants in close walking distance to the hotel.
The hotel itself is nice and clean, and the breakfast is pretty good. Staff were friendly and we got by just fine with barely any Japanese spoken on our end. The room is small by US standards, but quite decent sized in Japan, comfortable and clean.

Fantastic Large hotel about 5 min from the station. Seemed a bit expensive at first, but receieved a free upgrade to a double. Nice room and large bathroom. Great view. Even has a spa on the top floor. Staff were polite and helpful and moved my luggage to my room for me. Wish it had vending machines, though. Does have a small bar (which was ok..) and a restaurant (which I did not try).
