The hotel does its name justice as it would have been very grand back in the day. It was a great stay for the price we paid however we felt the hotel is dated with the rooms looking old and smelling of smoke. It’s very well situated within the best mall for shopping in Otaru. With the rainy weather, it gave us a good excuse to spend a couple of days in the shops. Prices in the mall on food, cloths and shoes is best we’ve seen in Hokkaido.

we have a good stay at the hotel for 5 nights. the location is good as we can get on ski bus directly in the JR station next to the hotel. However, we have a bad experience on the check out date. we check out at 9am and call hotel reception at 9:30am that we forget our 5 drinks which were kept in the refrigerator, and request hotel staff to keep for us. When we come back to hotel, only 3 drinks kept, but no explanation from hotels on the missing items. we complained to the hotel on that and wish hotel to have more training to the staff! 整潔度：Good 服務：Poor 交通便利性：Good 酒店地點：Good

choose this because it's a stop for ski bus kiroro, not a happening area but it's connected to a mall beside which got viva home, aeon and daiso inside. Room side date but big, overall value for money

it is an old hotel but still grand. the sea view from our window is gorgeous. the rooms are nice and big with good beds and showers. the hotel lobby staff are friendly and helpful. the hotel lobby is connected to the mall with supermarket and restaurants and shops. the mall is connected to the jr train station. the kiroro ski bus pick up point is near the jr train station. overall was a good experience at the hotel.
