Good

Solo stay

I had paid on Expedia, but the desk clerk charged me again. I would usually notice, but was exhausted from being with family at St Vincent's. I told 2 other clerks and they said they were aware, but couldn't do anything about it. I am back home, no emails, out $224. A refund would be great.

Fantastic

Solo stay

The hotel was brand new and very clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Always had fresh water available, a restaurant and a gym on site. The hotel is in a residential area, so there was many dining options within walking distance and also a nice market nearby. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe at this hotel. The only negative was that the pillows were too fluffy.

Fantastic

Solo stay

Loved this hotel. As a single female traveler, I felt very safe and secure. The location was incredibly convenient for the Hillsboro-Beaverton area, only about 15 minutes from downtown Portland by car, with the MAX Light Rail nearby as well. There’s also a great grocery store and several restaurants right across the street. The staff was fabulous, especially Jessica at the front desk. Housekeeping did a wonderful job, and I appreciated that there was no early-morning knocking like I’ve experienced at some hotels. The gym was excellent and well equipped — clearly not an afterthought. The lounge/bar was very nice, and breakfast was fantastic. In fact, the Western Poblano omelette was the best I’ve had, thanks to Chef Mike. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and this will be my go-to place whenever I visit Portland.

Great

Stayed with kids

Most importantly it was clean & staff was very friendly and helpful. It was very refreshing to stay somewhere that actually had a nice shower with good water pressure. The restaurant wasn’t so great and it would’ve been nice to have a swimming pool. Probably better for business trips than for family. But overall, it was a nice clean comfortable spot to stay the night. I would recommend.

Good

Stayed with pets

While I liked that the property was pet-friendly, the fee itself felt outrageous! I rarely have seen $65 per day per pet! I absolutely would have selected another hotel had I known how expensive the pet fee would be. Otherwise, the hotel was fine.
