Things to do in Bodleian Library

We were incredibly fortunate to have Brother Xiangchen as our tour guide for this Oxford and Cambridge day trip! Brother Xiangchen didn't just take us to the sights; he genuinely cared for the needs of every group member. The entire itinerary was smoothly arranged, and the timing was perfectly managed. Whether it was meeting up, traveling, or spending time at attractions, everything was just right, allowing everyone to enjoy themselves in a relaxed yet fulfilling way. What was most impressive was that during the long bus rides, Brother Xiangchen shared insights into British history and culture, stories of Oxford and Cambridge, and many interesting anecdotes that only locals would know. No matter what questions group members asked, he could answer almost immediately. His knowledge was extensive, and his sharing was vivid and engaging, never boring. Even more touching was his thoughtfulness and attentiveness. Since my mother, sister, and I were traveling together, Brother Xiangchen paid special attention to our needs, even thoughtfully arranging for us to use the restrooms at a hotel, making the long journey more comfortable. Throughout the trip, we could feel his genuine care for every traveler. He always had a kind smile, making the entire group atmosphere very warm and pleasant. This trip was so unforgettable, and we truly owe special thanks to Brother Xiangchen's professionalism and dedication. He wasn't just a tour guide; he was more like a friend willing to travel with us and share stories. His adaptability, rich experience, enthusiasm, and warmth created wonderful memories for my mother, sister, and me. If we join another tour group in the UK or Europe in the future, we would definitely want to sign up again, and we sincerely hope to have the opportunity to have Brother Xiangchen lead our tour again! Both Cambridge and Oxford was lovely, located 2 hours drive away (by coach) from London. Our guide was Dan and she's very clear and informative. Coach was comfortable. I personally prefer Cambridge over Oxford due to lesser crowds. Limited time given to explore each places. Overall this day tour was enjoyable

We had a great time, everything was well organised. Both Oxford and the WB Studio are worth a visit. The time was sufficient. In Oxford, in our time off, we ate cheap and delicious pies and scotched eggs from a butcher shop in the covered market. There are plenty of toilets everywhere. The one thing i did not like was, how commercialized the WB studio was, there are plenty of options to buy lots of merch, food, and extra pictures. Butterbeer is verry sweet and the mug you get with it is plastic.

It was an excellent talk, full of interesting historical stories, and we got to visit many places that other tourists couldn't access for free, which saved us a lot of money. John truly lives up to being an Oxford University student; even though history isn't his major, he spoke so well. Next time, we'll need a full day's lecture to learn even more. Thank you! ☺️

We enjoyed our tour both to Oxford and Harry Potter. Dan and Debbie are both very knowledgabel and funny. Jack is the best driver. The transportation is very comfy and relaxing. The tour to Oxford was great and we were able to learn a lot of its history from the free walking tour. For the Harry Potter tour, for me and my family, the alloted time was enough for us to enjoy the entire studio.

Great day trip overall, guide was very knowledgeable and shared interesting facts. Comfy ride and the places we visited were stunning.

amber and debbie were great! debbie was the one who toured us around oxford and gave us lots of insights on movies shot there esp Harry Potter films. she's fun and if ever i have a chance to go back in Oxford, I'd love her to be my guide again. amber is nice as well, she's our guide the rest of our trip. very entertaining. will recommend this esp to potterheads like me.
