Our tour guide, Leo "Little Lobster" 🦞, was incredibly kind and attentive. He contacted us via WeChat the night before, and since there were mostly Taiwanese tourists, he created a Line group on the day of the tour to remind us of the meeting time and recommend delicious restaurants in Arashiyama (like soba 🍜). The timing was perfect. We went to Katsuoji Temple in the morning when there were fewer people, which was great for taking photos. At noon, we strolled around Shirakawa-go, enjoying ice cream and milk. In the afternoon, Sanjo Street in Arashiyama was crowded, but we timed it just right to avoid the lunchtime rush, so we didn't have to wait in line at the restaurants 👍.

lovely experience and good weather when we went on our trip. upon arriving at the meeting point he’ll be there before the bus to confirm the people and will text you through out the day trip. Mr.Lee was great guide today including the pictures he took of us and learning experience for the temples and shrines. most of the experience he’ll let you roam free to do what you want but he’ll make sure you come back to him or he’ll leave you which he never did to any one.

A fantastic day trip from Osaka! This tour packed in some of the most iconic sights, and our guide did a wonderful job of navigating us through each location efficiently and with great insight. The first stop at Katsuo-ji Temple was a unique and serene experience. The sheer number of Daruma dolls was incredible, and the temple grounds offered a peaceful escape. It was a great way to start the day. Arashiyama was absolutely stunning. The Bamboo Grove felt magical, and the Togetsukyo Bridge offered breathtaking views of the river and mountains. We had enough time to walk around and take in the scenery before heading to our next destination. However, the highlight for me was Fushimi Inari Taisha. Walking through the thousands of vermilion torii gates was truly unforgettable. It was a bit crowded, but our guide was great at finding the best spots for photos and sharing the history behind the shrine.

I initially chose the one-day tour because I thought the journey would be too far. This itinerary seems to be new. Our tour guide, Xiao Liu, was very dedicated. He told us stories and the origins of each location before we arrived. My favorite part of the tour was Katsuō-ji Temple. When we first arrived, there weren't many people, so I was able to take my time exploring and taking pictures. Lunch was also delicious; the soup was really good, and the environment was very clean. In the afternoon, we went to Byodo-in Temple and Arashiyama. There are many stalls in Arashiyama where you can eat and shop. If you're hesitating about joining the tour, don't hesitate—just book it!

This is a pick-up and drop-off tour. I originally thought there would be a guide leading or explaining things, so I didn't gather much information in advance. However, only the driver provided transportation to and from the station, and there was essentially no guided tour. Katsuo-ji Temple is relatively inconvenient to access, and the weather was quite hot, so this transfer service was a good choice. The overall itinerary was quite rushed, only allowing enough time for a quick tour around, without much time to linger. If time allows, I would recommend independent travel. Finally, we departed from Arashiyama at around 3:30 PM and had two hours to explore after arriving, including lunch. If you plan to have a meal, there won't be enough time for sightseeing. Miyama's thatched-roof village allows for 50 minutes of exploration. In the summer, there isn't much to see in the entire village, and the sunflowers were already withered when we visited.
