For those coming by the Hankyu train, this shop is just by the riverside so it’s probably the most convenient. if you’re coming by JR train, you’ll pass by many kimono shops along the way. But we must say the quality of the fabrics from those shops (except Mocomoco) appeared inferior to our kimonos from this Aiwafuku shop. We’re very happy with the kimonos from this shop. their hairdo’s, hair accessories and choice of handbags were good too. Service was superb! Highly recommend them!

Renting a kimono is an incredible experience 👘 Finding the agency is easy ( well described how to get there) , service is outstanding ( English speaking) , many many kimonos 👘 to choose from. Dressing ladies are very skillful and quick, they know how to dress you and tied u up with obi belt ( many choices). You get the socks and slippers to choose from ( all sizes) and a bag . Off you go. The rest is up to you where you choose to go. Return just before 5:30pm. Excellent service and 5 stars for the agency . Highly recommended 🙏

It's a little far from Kiyomizu Temple, but it's very convenient near Kyoto Station. Buses 86 and 206 are just across the intersection. The pick-up staff are very friendly and there is no problem in communication. There are many choices of styles and they will also provide good matching suggestions. The skills are very good. They quickly completed the dressing and hair and makeup, making the children very happy. Thank you very much. Ai Kimono gave us very happy memories.

The regular kimono is pretty, but it's more advantageous to pay extra and wear a pretty kimono! In particular, there are various hair styles, and the atmosphere is comfortable when doing your hair. The owner speaks Korean well, so it was easy to talk. It snowed a lot, but the owner lent me an umbrella~

It was AWESOME ❤️‍🔥! I arrived early and was seated right away. The ladies were very welcoming and very kind 🥺. There was a lot of choice of kimono, all beautiful 🤩🥰! Very nice shop, I recommend!! Several ladies helped me put on my kimono before giving me a very beautiful hairdo with ornaments. Shoes and a bag of my choice were also provided 🥰. My things were kept at the shop while I enjoyed the area. Don't hesitate. Go there, it's a great brand 10/10❤️

I chose **mocomoco** for my Kimono/Yukata experience in Arashiyama, Kyoto, and I'm so glad I did! I'm so satisfied that I had to share my experience! 🥰 First of all, for my Chinese sisters: **Don't worry about the language barrier!** Communication was super smooth. The staff were patient and friendly, and they provided instructions in Chinese, or used simple English/gestures which was totally sufficient! You can definitely come and enjoy the experience without worry! 💪✨ Also! The store's location is incredibly convenient! 📍 It's just a few steps away from Arashiyama's shopping street/Tenryu-ji Temple! **After changing into a beautiful Yukata, you can directly and seamlessly start your Arashiyama walk~🚶‍♀️💨 Choosing to wear a Yukata in Arashiyama was such a wise decision! 🍃 Wearing a beautiful Yukata while walking on the small paths of Arashiyama makes you feel like you've become one with the scenery! Togetsukyo Bridge, the Bamboo Forest Path, and the murmuring Hozugawa River... Every step is a picture, and every photo turns out great! The roads around Kiyomizu-dera Temple aren't as easy to walk on, making this a great experience! 📸💖 mocomoco has a wide selection of Yukata designs, with beautiful colors and excellent quality! The staff helped me dress quickly and professionally, and they created a very delicate hairstyle, making me feel like I instantly transformed into a Japanese drama heroine! 👑✨ I even got compliments while walking around, so happy! 😊

I'm writing this in Thai for Thai speakers. This activity is highly recommended for anyone visiting Kyoto. We booked the 100-minute course, and it was worth every minute because we learned about the sacred Kagura dance, how to show respect to the gods, and more. The instructor was so lovely and kind. There were no communication problems at all, and they were very friendly. At the end of the course, we chatted a bit and took some beautiful photos. Overall, this activity is highly recommended.

I had the best experience with them. They gave me enough suggestions on which type of kimonos and obis would look good on me. They also assisted my husband with his Yakuta. The staff was super friendly inspite of being so busy. They gave me a couple of options for hairstyles and the final one turned out to be so beautiful. I would also want to give a special mention to photographer Paul, who clicked such beautiful pictures and guided us with poses and what to do throughout the entire process. Even the unedited photos were so pretty.
