1. The scenery in Yoichi and Otaru is absolutely stunning! The historical buildings and romantic streets make you want to stay longer. 2. Today in Otaru, I savored fresh seafood, especially the sushi and seafood rice bowls. The delicious taste was unforgettable! 3. The Yoichi whisky distillery tour was very interesting. I learned a lot about whisky production and even got to taste some delicious whisky! 4. The scenery in Otaru is incredibly beautiful! 6. Today's itinerary was perfectly planned, with both cultural experiences and delicious food. It was truly an unforgettable trip! 7. The residents of Yoichi and Otaru are very friendly, making our journey feel warm and welcoming. I look forward to returning again!

Right after landing, head straight from the airport with your luggage to avoid wasting the first day of your trip. Especially in winter, Hokkaido's transportation can be unpredictable, so signing up for a tour is recommended.

Thanks Klook for offering affordable tours, this is my first time using Klook and will definitely use it again as my experience with Klook is great! The reminder message received from or guide Ms Lily Lee before the tour has set my heart at ease. My husband and I enjoyed the entire 1-day Hokkiado Cape Kamui, Otaru, tour led by a very friendly, knowledgeable & bubbly guide Lily. Her information and announcements were very clear both in English and Chinese (she could speak Japanese fluently too). Her smiling & happy face made me feel happy too! She is attentive and helpful, giving us lots of tips and guidance, thanks Lily💕Hope we‘ll meet again!

Andy was charming & would give us tips on what to buy and not to buy. We were lucky we had good weather during the tour. It was a challenge to finish the Cape Camui walk, but the views were breathtaking and rewarding. The Shakotan tunnel was also interesting, there is a soft serve ice cream & souvenir shop. We had lunch at Otaru where Andy showed us a very good seafood restaurant. It was fun just walking around after. Shiroi Koibito was also fascinating where you can take many IG worthy photos. It is already near Sapporo which was great to know that we have arrived early at the end point.

Our guide, Michelle, is from Hong Kong and speaks authentic Cantonese. Her service was professional and her attitude was friendly - thumbs up! There were only three participants, but the tour still went ahead, which felt like having a private guide - thumbs up! With fewer people, we didn't have to wait around. We visited many attractions, and the sightseeing time was adequate. Of course, you could stay longer if you went on your own, but walking on snowy ground in winter is inconvenient. If there's a blizzard, it would be better to have point-to-point transportation. I'll join again next time I come.

Weather and views were great. If you are there to eat fishes instead of look at fishes, like us, try Minshuku Aotsuka Shokudou!! Seafood was so fresh, food was amazing! 🤤

If you're not driving but still want to see Hokkaido's Shakotan Blue, I recommend this tour. Cape Kamui is beautiful. I walk at a pretty good pace, but I still couldn't make it to the lighthouse in the time allotted because the trail is narrow at the end, only allowing one person to pass at a time, so you won't be able to move quickly if there are a lot of people. If it's sea urchin season, be sure to choose the option with freshly prepared sea urchin rice! The fruit you pick will depend on what's ripe and in season. Mt. Tengu is the last stop on the tour, but due to time constraints in the summer, we had to head down the mountain before dark. If you want to see one of Hokkaido's three major night views, you can do as I did and leave the group at Mt. Tengu. After enjoying the night view, you can head down the mountain and stay overnight in Otaru, and then explore Otaru the next day. The tour guide introduces each attraction along the way and carefully reminds everyone of things to be aware of, taking care of each member of the group. There weren't too many people that day, so they arranged a medium-sized bus, which wasn't too crowded and was quite comfortable.

The Chinese-speaking guide arrived early and I met them without issue. It was fascinating and fun to hear them speak Chinese, Japanese, and English interchangeably. Also, this tour being a multinational one, riding in a small van with people from China, the Philippines, India, and Korea was special and created memorable moments. The detailed and fun explanations about Shakotan Blue, Otaru Canal, and Shiroi Koibito Chocolate Factory made the day tour enjoyable from beginning to end. Shakotan Blue and Cape Kamui, befitting the northernmost region, gave a feeling of being overwhelmed by the rough and magnificent vast nature. In that moment, all worries and anxieties disappeared, and even as the raindrops grew thicker, the path to the summit was so magnificent that getting rained on didn't matter at all. The stunning sea and cliffs, and other natural wonders, the swaying reed fields – lying down together and swaying together in the reed field!!! Afterwards, even though the weather became even more stormy with rain and wind, the Otaru Canal was even more charming after the rain. I wondered if this was the feeling of the surprisingly modern opening period? It felt like going back to the past, the beginning of industry here – Romantic City – the Romantic City that the guide emphasized was a perfect description. It was good that we were given 3 hours there, and it was also great that there was a large duty-free shop where we could choose from a wide variety of souvenirs. And finally, the Shiroi Koibito Chocolate Factory was a charming, pretty, and fun place full of European style. Also, the driver was very kind, which was great. I came to Sapporo, but I am grateful to have seen such wonderful outskirts and to have experienced the blessings of the sea, reeds, wind, and clouds. I already miss it.
